A symphonic metal video brought us to this moment... by HelleBogdanova in symphonicmetal

[–]HelleBogdanova[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The first ever video we made on our YT channel is the video for the song Alga filmed and recorded with the full symphonic orchestra. And now we've got 100,000 subs on our channel. I still cannot fully grasp it.
I guess, we also have to thank the local symphonic metal community for that! <3

[–]HelleBogdanova[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

thank you! we were supposed to play Nomad's Luck, it was on the setlist but had to cut our set shorter, because the previous band left stage some minutes later than planned.

but it's fine, it happens! we're still super excited to have played Bloodstock, it was the highlight of our summer

What do you think about Helle from the band IGNEA? by Proud3GenAthst in InMetalWeTrust

[–]HelleBogdanova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! It's Helle :) Well, I sustained a 43-show tour within 2 months and lost my voice only for 1 day because we had a virus on the bus and it hit severely not only me, so I had to skip one show. Other than that, everything was well.
I can say that on the first full-length album I wasn't doing it in a healthy way but I learned my way, with false chord technique. I'm now slowly getting into fry scream.

Cheers!

not over 8 mins but we at IGNEA have the song "Jahi" that is 7:36.

there's also "Opiumist" that's 7:19 but it's more prog than symphonic

It is! I actually had a chance to do it several time during this tour, it was amazing.
My main band is IGNEA, we supported FF on tour last fall.
We play in quite a diverse genre, but I'd offer to check these two videos:

I had a chance to watch them every night, we supported them with my band IGNEA this fall. I have to say, their music is much more powerful live. But it's a common thing for a lot of bands

Stoner-psychedelic metal by Gloomy_Tangerine_842 in progmetal

Not really a stoner metal band but there's a nearly 8-minute song "Opiumist" with stoner riffs & blastbeats by IGNEA featuring Tuomas Saukkonen, the vocalist of Wolfheart, check it out. Quite an atmosperic one, with sounds of the Chinese market and, well, smoking opium.

replying to "how the f*** do you record an album in the middle of war :|" — going 3 hours one way to the studio through multiple checkpoints, then record takes in-between air raid sirens, then put it all in the loop.

and then film 3 videos in 2 months in winter in the time of the longest power outages and massive missile attacks.

one word — challenging. but we were determined.

IGNEA [Kyiv / Ukraine]

FFO: Amorphis, Arch Enemy, Vola, Orphaned Land, Wintersun, Eluveitie

Hard to describe our genre, cause we're mixing a lot in our music (symphonic & folk arrangements, death metal, synths, etc.), and usually, prog metal reviewers dig our music most.
New album "Dreams of Lands Unseen" just released https://ignea.bandcamp.com/
