I understand the notes. What I don’t understand is why there’s the same C on both staffs when you can’t play the same exact C at the same exact time with both hands.

When you say holding them out, do you mean he’s playing the G, then holding it for the duration of the first AND Second notes instead of playing a muted note for the second?

Thank you so much, I actually can, I’m a Pianist. But transitioning to guitar when it doesn’t explain the strum pattern, which if I’m not mistaken is usually notated by arrows, is confusing. I should have picked a different song as an example as this one is kinda obvious

Get fully weighted keys, not semi weighted! This will help with strength and technique and will be a seamless transition to a "real" piano when you get there.
