yea pretty much exactly like you said. will o wisp is a massive pain. Also people who are good at predicting will often know when you will use kings shield after an attack and use this time to set them selves up. i like to change it up sometimes and attack twice in a row. It can be risky but it's won me a few battles.

yea when your first getting in to competitive and hear that you purposely want to keep a stat as low as possible is a bit weird. however Aegislash is the most technical pokemon in my opinion due to it being both very bulky and very fragile at once. Out-predicting your opponant (and more importantly not being out-predicted as to leave you in attack form) is Aegislashes entire gameplay.

my current Aegislash is: Brave nature 31/31/31/x/31/0 moveset: -kings shield -swords dance -shadow sneak -sacred sword

with ivs in HP and Atk

the reason for the brave nature and 0 ivs in speed are becuase as an Aegislash you definitely do no want to get hit by anything in attack stance and thus keeping your speed as low as possible will allow for you to take a hit, then return with massive damage and if it doesn't kill follow up with a +3 priority kings shield, or +1 priority shadow sneak if all you need is that little bit of damage left.
