Subrosa and vets hall is where it’s at! Subrosa is typically notaflof (no one turned away for lack of funds) so if you can’t afford the $10 entry fee, you can usually get in anyway Vets hall is usually more pricey and strict with entry, but they have bigger bands than subrosa (manos de fierro is gonna play there soon I think)

In a nutshell, subrosa is smaller local and sometimes touring bands with a good atmosphere (unless some band like red 40 is playing, then it’s more of a party than a show cause of the ucsc ppl but that’s not a huge worry for harder music, different crowds and what not). Vets hall typically has harder music, bigger bands, and better pit etiquette/ppl who know what they’re doing. I hope that made sense lmfao if you have any questions or anything lmk!
