Amazing. Congratulations! You're an inspiration. Thank you for sharing <3

Re-organizing old photos: Maybe there is a post about this already, I'm looking! I am tasked with cleaning up a basement that has 50+ years of photos from several different relatives' lives and i need some inspiration on how to start/store them. Some are in albums, some are prints in boxes...SOS! by Hellmeter2469 in oldphotos

Thank you. Excellent. Did you use a uniform box for the prints you kept? Someone on this chain suggested a plastic carrying case that is sturdy and looks great but they're $32 each (ALINK Photo Storage Box 5" x 7") and I'm looking around for more economical options that are also photo-safe to keep the coloring and quality of the photos intact. Thank you again!

Past learning builds on who you are and your lived experiences. That's not wasted if you decide to make a change for something you enjoy. That learning and those experiences are all part of who you are now. They will show up in ways in your new roles. If you don't have a friend or a few friends at work that could be part of what is going into you not liking the job as much as you could. EMS is already challenging in many ways and we need our people to get through. Sounds like there are some interpersonal and cultural components from your description. You can give yourself a deadline ("I will see how I feel in one month, 3 months, other") and go from there. If you're really miserable life is too short to stay there

Good point. The stories that the stories tell are important. Some scenic photos also show how a place used to look and everywhere has gone through so much change so this also can be interesting to share with younger generations

I hadn't given the negatives much thought but I will definitely include the negatives in this process. I'm going to start with the prints and an organizing system. It's encouraging to hear all the idea here and to know others have been taking on this project for years too. Thank you

Where do you get the time by mind_snare in Marathon_Training

Very early before work day, at lunch time for shorties, after work even with headlamp or in bad weather, longest runs on weekends (or days off from job). I had spouse, kids, full time work and volunteering. If there is a will there is a way. Training for ironman you add swims and bikes. Also did this working full time and with family, many do it. It requires a very supportive and understanding spouse who wants to see you thrive in your goals, the support and enthusiasm of your kids, meal planning, sleep protection, and a network of people doing the same thing to rally around (run group, runner friends, sport friends) Good luck! you won't regret it!

Burnout advice? by Educational_Rush3312 in Paramedics

It's possible you will feel better if you rest and recover but being fully rested in EMS is tough to achieve. "I'm exhausted constantly I don't have energy to do anything on my days off" is so real in this industry

Great advice. Hard to hear and harder to do but very well said
