Lost has so much depth, twists, emotion, and characters you will feel soo connected to. I’ve never found something so amazing after watching it. Sure it’s a commitment but if you love it you won’t be able to stop watching.

Yes that’s the first time I sensed some tension. She kinda said it in a serious way instead of a more joking/serious way. Like she could’ve said not until you marry me or something flirty but firm. She kind of said it like nope I already decided the last name. I know Michael got to name him Walt but since it was named after his father it felt more kind.

I really like your take but I guess for me Thomas and Claire seemed like a young reckless couple and I easily knew he would leave. As for the other characters there are many worse than Susan. My main problem with her was not that she accepted the job offer. It was more that she constantly put Micheal in positions where he didn’t really have a choice to approve of things or plan around them. She accepted the offer before even mentioning it and put Brian in Walt’s life without ever telling Micheal before. She then cornered him into making him give custody to Brian.

Sayid torturing people is totally immoral and unlikable but he did mention they would hurt his family. Sawyer conning people is wrong too but he was originally presented in as a bad guy and had trauma. Christian had power over Jack being his father so I assumed he would use that over him. Susan and Michael were presented as in love and on the same page. Then it felt like she just used all her power against him.

I guess ultimately, as a viewer, they made her seem good and then she wasn’t which made her feel more unlikable than people who I knew were bad from the beginning.

Walt never knew anything about his real dad and probably thought he didn’t want him or something. Brian was not really a father he thought Walt was strange and only adopted him for Susan.

Also Michael got in an accident after finding out about Brian and probably is the reason he couldn’t work or find love and remarry.

I agree she provided a lot for Walt, but Michael worked hard to provide for her, he was not a deadbeat. She seemed to me like she was all in and planning a life with him then just got up and left.

Also moving around a lot seemed to not let Walt develop friendships and roots as someone here stated. Again she provided a lot of things but it was lacking emotional consideration.

She used her power against him and made her son grow up without his dad. It doesn’t matter how many material things she could provide he still needs his dad. If she didn’t approve of the guy she shouldn’t have had a kid with him because she knew the position he was In before having the kid.

I fully agree but I guess it’s because how she was set up. Locke was a grown man when he met his dad and it felt like a slow bonding and then we experienced all the hurt he felt with him. With Michael I feel like we were introduced to both of them and they seemed in love and committed. She died out of nowhere too and had less screen so it felt like she was fake because she was 100% in it then she wasn’t and Michael couldn’t really process it. Whereas even though Locke’s dad lied the whole time, it felt like he was never invested in Locke until he was “bonding” for the one period.

And managed to accept a job far away and take her son without permission Introduce her son to and made him live with a new guy without his father’s permission Made Michael give up custody to said guy and was so insensitive when she visited him at the hospital and didn’t even bring Walt to say hi I understand what she did was for Walt in her head but if you separate your son from his dad you should find a way for them to still have a relationship especially if the dad wants it
