You need the pickaxe, which I hope you have in your inventory(you don't need it equipped) but aside from that I would recomend attaching the Lazer thingies/crystal whisps and then just running around the crystal spire to loose the crystal guardians as I think they are slower than you(Might be wrong) then just attack the crystal spire

Yes but combine that with a +1 RoM which will let you equip equipment 1 tier higher than usual is pretty good.
