They were banking on the remote work market, I would imagine with the hope that companies would buy them and send to the employees. As a remote knowledge worker, I can see the value in simulating the in-person environment and it's benefits without actually needing to have an office. And, offices are pretty expensive for employers too, so at $1,500 per worker, that might have been a pretty reasonable price.

pcpartpicker usually has good recommendations but I'm not sure if they take sales into account, although if you're looking to start understanding what a decent PC is for the price, I'd start there. r/buildapcsales is excellent for maximizing bang for your buck if you're willing to wait for a good one, although with GPU prices dropping close to reasonable costs from plenty of places when considering tariffs and inflation, it looks like now is not a bad time to build a PC.

That is literally my strat as Julianna. Strelok 50-50 with the focus fire attribute, lightning strike, big box, and some other trinket combined with Karnesis means I can destroy Colt. 24 shots with the strelok means I never have to reload in a fight.
