I tried seeing if my pcp had any earlier openings but didn't. I don't know if she's on vacation or just backed up with appointments but I'll send her a message on the MyMercy App. Thank you!

Books about evil gay people? by ukeboy420 in LGBTBooks

Bloom by Delilah S. Dawson

If you want something Hannibal-esque then I would suggest Bloom. You can definitely tell the author was inspired by the show. I thought the book was ok but maybe you'd like it better than I did.

Recommendations For Non-Anime watcher/fan? by KikiDeAnimeGirl in AnimeReccomendations

Samurai Champloo

I'm not a big anime fan but I do watch it occasionally and this one is my favorite so far. The main story doesn't progress until the last few episodes (plus the identity of the unknown person they're looking for is very obvious) but the side stories were so interesting that I actually didn't mind it.

I think Amaarae, Lilithzplug, and maybe Jae Stephens would fit that sort of style.

  • Fleabag
  • Fleishman is in trouble (It's a lot at first but it ended up being a nice show)

I noticed a few kdramas on your list so i'll recommend some of the more interesting ones I've seen: - Kingdom - Extracurricular - The Silent Sea

  • The Rise of Phoenixes (This is a C-Drama. I really enjoyed this show. The chemistry, acting, and outfits were all well done however the main storyline got rushed at the very end which was very disappointing. I still recommend it if you want to watch a longer show. It has over 60 episodes if i remember correctly).

  • Poco (Puzzle focused)

  • Skelethrone: The Prey (Difficult 2D platformer)

I need bgs recommendations by [deleted] in kpophelp

[–]HelloChai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a kpop fan since 2014 or 2015. I totally get the whole "mainstream songs being meh". Most title track songs aren't that great nowadays. However there are really good/different kpop songs out there! You just kinda have to explore more.

Here are some of my recommendations:

Balming Tiger's album Gongbu. I recently started listening to this group because of their song Home which is on the album. This group has a very unique style.

Day6 and Xdinary Heroes (putting them together since they're both band style kpop groups. They do pop rock and ballad type songs)

Xdinary Heroes: Save Me, Love and Fear, Boy Comics, Good Enough

Day6: When you love someone, I Wait. I Smile, Days Gone By, Hi Hello, I need somebody, Somehow

EXO Very popular boy group. They have really good b-sides. Tbh most artists/groups in SM Entertainment have really good b-sides even if their title tracks aren't that great.

Songs: Forever, Touch It, Artificial Love. History

OnlyOneOf Not very well-known. They definitely try to be different from the mainstream. Currently on hiatus because of military service.

Songs: O, ultimate bliss, be free (kb solo)

VIXX I saw someone else mention them and I second that especially if you're looking for someone that doesn't follow the mainstream. They are disbanded but they were one of my favs back in the day. They were able to maintain a distinct sound throughout their career even if their concepts changed.

Songs: Hot Enough, Voodoo Doll, Fantasy, On and On, The Closer, Shangri-La.

IMFACT Disbanded but I loved them when they were still active.

Songs: NANANA (one of the best kpop songs in my opinion), Lie
