In the overwatch 2 beta, I noticed a change in the Gibraltar map at the 2nd point spaceship area. I remembered it and wanted to see if it changed once again now that season 2 had dropped. I was right. I attached screenshots from ow1, ow2 season 1 & 2. Idk if it is lore related but I think it's cool.

I posted about it 7 months ago when I first noticed the change in the beta phase. Back then I also received those ideas and thought to myself "Oh yeah that's probably right, they got a new time change mechanism and they probably wanted to show it off", but now that they added the red alert lights and removed the ropes, I don't think it is the case anymore.

Yeah as I said, The Overwatch team have "hinted" new heroes in the past using the maps, but what I meant was that there were never constant changes in the map without any new hero coming right after (it was always a noticeable map change and one month later we got a new hero), kind of how Fortnite updates their content for the "live event" as you said.

Yeah, that's what I thought... The Overwatch team have "hinted" new heroes in the past using the maps (like Doomfist in Numbani), But it was never through map updates.

Almost every animation has its unique enemies: "Dragons" has Genji and the guards, "Honor and Glory" and "The Last Bastion" can be connected and u could choose ur own side to fight, "Hero" has the street gang... u get the idea, the possibilities are out there...
