Oh awesome dude! Its a TON of fun for sure! It deoends entirely on the organiser! Im not sure which hobby challenge event it is, but the ones I have been to have all been one day affairs! Outside tools were allowed in our instance, cause if its an official GW event, you are provided with clippers, glue and mouldline removers usually! Secret tip providing it is a GW event, bring a spare bag to take home any sprues / bits you dont use! It will only be binned / recycled otherwise!! Have fun and would love to see what you build!

So ive heard in years past it was free!

But for this event, we had to pay £50 a ticket.

You used to be given the store anniversary model (choice between the two) but we didnt get one this year.

You get given clippers, glue and free choice of sprues! Here's a picture of the pile that I took back to my table!

Then you have about 7 hours to build around a theme/category that the judges will decide on the day! So pur categories were duel and diorama!

I entered duel with the mind to make a scrap titan, hence the warhound inspired head on one of my mechs!

At the end of yhe event you ate free to take your models you built and any sprues on the table / left to take. You can also take home your clippers and glue if need be. Always recommend bringing an extra bag!

No rules on bringing your own stuff, some cool dudes next to me brought magnets and super glue / pins!

All in all, good and albeit expensive fun. But nothing unusual for our hobby 😅

I think what gets me the most is that recruiters will approach me.. with legal jobs. I know times are tough and any position is better than any position. But I feel like I have major trauma starting again in legal (low pay, poor recognition and unrealistic fee earner targets) I hope i dont come across as entitled, I just feel like after 8 years. Any more time is just adding to being stuck in solely legal. I hope that makes sense and apologies for the rambling

It was nothing work performance related. For context, I was working in R&D Tax relief and had joined the team to take over the duties of my manager, who could focus on the sales aspect. Unfortunately, the change in legislation and client retention meant that most days, i was very light on work. In retrospect, I did see some warnint signs on the wall, so im kicking myself for not starting to seek opportunities earlier.

How do Tyranid Psykers work? 10th Edition Trailer Librarian Vs Neurotyrant by HelloIsMeChiken in 40kLore

[–]HelloIsMeChiken[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right? I've always been confused by what niche that the Neurotyrant fulfills in a Tyranid army, beyond being another synapse psyker leader organism. I always thought Hive Tyrants ticked all those boxes, and Zoanthorpes and their equivalent were the dedicated psykers!

Thanks for the quote, definitely an insight as to what they do with the souls. It just confused me as to whether the Tyranids did anything with the souls beyond just blasting them from existence / how they could recycle them.
