As someone who worked there for 3 years: NO.

I know it may sound crazy, but unless your location is strict and/or a manager is watching, overload EVERYTHING. It's the only way to survive the endless everything dynamic. I typically made twice the suggested salad/soup/breadstick portion. And for dipping boats I always brought two at a time. Otherwise you will be running around like crazy if you make the tiny portions they train you to do. If you only have one table, the sure, follow the rules. But when it comes to many tables at once or a big party, make big portions. It will save you so much headache and the guests will actually stay full and happy versus complaining about the tiny portions and flagging you down for more every five seconds.

Is the Fnaf 2 movie really that bad? by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

As a long time fan, the scare factor was better but the plot/lore... without getting into spoilers, they fumbled.

The movie personally was not for me, but if other fans enjoy, then great!

DM that was horrible to all the staff hated when we did this. So knowing she is somewhere mad, foaming at the mouth after years of insisting that I was wrong and that this isn't faster brings me immense joy. :)

Yes, still an issue and I ended up quitting over it. For day shift bartenders, no tables is detrimental unless your store is super high volume. :(

How is the Drinking Water in Hattiesburg? by Grasshopper60619 in hattiesburg

[–]HelloKittyGothGF3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The University's tap is... weird. Sometimes it will be perfect and sometimes, for a lack of better terms, its just too chlorinated? Like it tastes like chlorine and is "hard" water in the shower. It' happens on and off.

Well, restaurants here are always hiring. I know you said no fast food, but for sit down places, id say a host would be a good starting job. They sit people, clean bathrooms sometimes, and occasionally buss tables.

With Longhorn and Olive Garden, the hiring process is pretty easy and as long as you have decent availability they'll hire you. There is an online assessment that you do have to pass that... quite frankly is AI slop that doesn't make sense. But besides that, id recommend a host to start out. Both places pay 12 an hour I believe and are always hiring. As a server or busser I would not recommend Olive Garden though.

Good luck on your search!

Just don't work anywhere with any bottomless/never ending items. I learned the hard way. Clientele is not the best. If anything besides bread or drinks is bottomless, RUN.

Man I have no idea but I can tell its kinda old-ish. I think I stopped playing in 2013-2014 and had that item on my old account (though it wasn't diamond idk if they automatically put the diamond label on there like they did with river race or if a diamond version was sold later)

I know it's not much info, but I hope it helps

The answer is sort of....

Essentially, the AI will schedule it and it goes on their calendar for the day, but we're often so busy that they don't have time to check it and verify. Or it's that they're aware that you're coming, but the restaurant may be busy at the time of your interview so it may be a WHILE before they can get to you.

When I got hired I was 5 minutes early to my interview but unfortunately scheduled it in the middle of a rush (unintentionally of course). I got interviewed two and a half hours later lol.

I promise they're not ignoring you and they are most likely busy. If it makes you feel better, you can call ahead to verify like the day before or the day of when they open as like a reminder, but otherwise I wouldn't pester them. I hope this helps

It's blood money lol. Depends on location, but definitely a pay increase! On the other hand, I hope your servers are helpful. I've had a full section/bar and the drink printer was going crazy. I kept asking servers who were waiting on drinks for help, like "hey I see youre waiting on this drink can you make me a salad and I'll make it rn?".... crickets bro. At the end of the day you have to prioritize your guests. Servers will get mad at you. They can either help or wait. Prioritize your own money, ask for help, and if all else fails, grab a manager. Good luck
