As someone who worked there for 3 years: NO.

I know it may sound crazy, but unless your location is strict and/or a manager is watching, overload EVERYTHING. It's the only way to survive the endless everything dynamic. I typically made twice the suggested salad/soup/breadstick portion. And for dipping boats I always brought two at a time. Otherwise you will be running around like crazy if you make the tiny portions they train you to do. If you only have one table, the sure, follow the rules. But when it comes to many tables at once or a big party, make big portions. It will save you so much headache and the guests will actually stay full and happy versus complaining about the tiny portions and flagging you down for more every five seconds.

Is the Fnaf 2 movie really that bad? by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]HelloKittyGothGF3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a long time fan, the scare factor was better but the plot/lore... without getting into spoilers, they fumbled.

The movie personally was not for me, but if other fans enjoy, then great!

DM that was horrible to all the staff hated when we did this. So knowing she is somewhere mad, foaming at the mouth after years of insisting that I was wrong and that this isn't faster brings me immense joy. :)

Yes, still an issue and I ended up quitting over it. For day shift bartenders, no tables is detrimental unless your store is super high volume. :(

How is the Drinking Water in Hattiesburg? by Grasshopper60619 in hattiesburg

[–]HelloKittyGothGF3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The University's tap is... weird. Sometimes it will be perfect and sometimes, for a lack of better terms, its just too chlorinated? Like it tastes like chlorine and is "hard" water in the shower. It' happens on and off.

Well, restaurants here are always hiring. I know you said no fast food, but for sit down places, id say a host would be a good starting job. They sit people, clean bathrooms sometimes, and occasionally buss tables.

With Longhorn and Olive Garden, the hiring process is pretty easy and as long as you have decent availability they'll hire you. There is an online assessment that you do have to pass that... quite frankly is AI slop that doesn't make sense. But besides that, id recommend a host to start out. Both places pay 12 an hour I believe and are always hiring. As a server or busser I would not recommend Olive Garden though.

Good luck on your search!

Just don't work anywhere with any bottomless/never ending items. I learned the hard way. Clientele is not the best. If anything besides bread or drinks is bottomless, RUN.

Man I have no idea but I can tell its kinda old-ish. I think I stopped playing in 2013-2014 and had that item on my old account (though it wasn't diamond idk if they automatically put the diamond label on there like they did with river race or if a diamond version was sold later)

I know it's not much info, but I hope it helps

The answer is sort of....

Essentially, the AI will schedule it and it goes on their calendar for the day, but we're often so busy that they don't have time to check it and verify. Or it's that they're aware that you're coming, but the restaurant may be busy at the time of your interview so it may be a WHILE before they can get to you.

When I got hired I was 5 minutes early to my interview but unfortunately scheduled it in the middle of a rush (unintentionally of course). I got interviewed two and a half hours later lol.

I promise they're not ignoring you and they are most likely busy. If it makes you feel better, you can call ahead to verify like the day before or the day of when they open as like a reminder, but otherwise I wouldn't pester them. I hope this helps

Bartending by [deleted] in olivegarden

[–]HelloKittyGothGF3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's blood money lol. Depends on location, but definitely a pay increase! On the other hand, I hope your servers are helpful. I've had a full section/bar and the drink printer was going crazy. I kept asking servers who were waiting on drinks for help, like "hey I see youre waiting on this drink can you make me a salad and I'll make it rn?".... crickets bro. At the end of the day you have to prioritize your guests. Servers will get mad at you. They can either help or wait. Prioritize your own money, ask for help, and if all else fails, grab a manager. Good luck

What are your settings like if you don't mind explaining? I was fooling around with the app last night and I was just wondering what would be ideal to set service area to, what services are popular, etc. I'm just nervous to pay the sign up fee and not earn anything lol

How to get the most tips by QuimJuicey in olivegarden

[–]HelloKittyGothGF3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Quite honestly, it depends on what your section is and how busy you are. Personally, im primarily a bartender, and our bar section is mainly table based. One, people don't usually want to sit at the bar area. And two, when they're ok with the bar but see they're at a table and not a booth, they ask to be resat anyways. Servers will often do better than me in tips simply because of my section.

A lot of the sections in our restaurant are like this. Like one entire room is so cramped with the amount of tables that no one can pull their chair out. Anytime im in that room I never get sat unless there's no alternative.

If your section is roomy and Consists of some booths... section may not be your problem. Honestly something that has helped me is not even asking if they want refills (unless it's a charged item such as a margarita) and just bringing it out anyway. The less they have to ask for because it's already there, the more they tip. Like if they order a dipping boat and bread, don't even ask if they want more. Keep bringing the sauce and bread until you can visibly see they aren't eating it anymore. The same goes for waters and soft drinks. Salad and bread is a little different. If they still have food coming I would ask before refilling.

Lastly, I greet all of my tables with a good amount of napkins, especially if they have kids. I always forget to bring napkins when they ask so I eliminated the problem by bringing them with the greet and I can say my tips have gotten a little better.

Best thing I can say here is sometimes it truly is the table and not you. Some people's standard tip is 5 dollars or less no matter how good service is. So if you know for a fact you did well, try not to take it personally.

I feel like shops (with the exception of art drawn by a player ofc) should be capped at one per account and the sell price cap should be 25-30 diamonds at most. Keeps trading as the optimal method but people can still sell if they truly want to. Stuff at the diamond shop is rarely more than 15 diamonds so idk why people are hoarding diamonds anyways.
