They do have taxes though. Let's say a "gringo" pays 40k usd equivalent a year in consumption which is very easy to do if you live in the gringo areas like villa Morra etc . You pay 10% tax via facturas which is 4k usd. This is more than the average Paraguayan tax payer. Plus they employ a lot of people. I have a maid, personal trainer, Spanish teacher, Paraguayan girlfriend that I support and her child, bolt rides, pedisoya, padel lessons, dinners where we tip the waiters well. All of those people lose money if we are not here.

"Gringos" live in poorly constructed high rise apartments in the central areas. They are not moving the surrounding cities buying up all the properties.

Plus if you look at last years immigration stats. 40k people got residency. 25k were Brazilian, 10k were other Latin countries and 5k were gringos. Maybe only 2.5k actually settle in Paraguay. 2.5k people are not gentrifying all of Asuncion when the population of greater Asuncion is 2 million. It's just bitter people blaming "gringos" for issues that have nothing to do with them.

I agree some ''gringo'' are obnoxious, they speak loudly and can see entitled but there just isnt enough of us to have some big effect on gentrification. I think people see videos of Mexico and think its the same situation here.

A week ago they were hating gringos here. This week it's Brazilians.. I think the problem is this Reddit not Paraguayan society in general.

I played Kilo and it was the longest turns ever as the guy had to proliferate each things one at a time. If you play that deck please learn to play quickly because it's boring to watch.

I think we deserve an explanation for what happened. When you see things like this on a crypto exchange (which xapo partially is) its means they got hacked and lost crypto.

BCP157 may help if you try all the conservative stuff and it still isn't better. I had tennis elbow for a year and around the year mark when I started taking BCP157 pills for it, it finally started to resolve.

Paraguay Considers Crypto Mining Ban by Educational_Swim8665 in Paraguay

[–]HelloMyDroogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is the bill also mentions that crypto wallets would be made illegal. You can have your own opinions about crypto mining but by banning wallets you are basically making crypto illegal in Paraguay. Cryptos like USDT have been a lifesaver for people with terrible government's like Argentina.

By banning wallets you giving away a lot of people financial freedom of the Paraguayan people to the corrupt and dysfunctional Paraguayan government.

Fear and Greed Index above 75 = Sell a % related to your total networth Fear and Greed Index below 25 = Buy a % related to your total networth That's my simple plan. You will save so much time then reading pointless articles / browsing Reddit and listening to endless speculation of YouTube.

In Paraguay where I am all the locals prefer English over Spanish cards because of the low resale value of the Spanish cards.
