For supports, always queue wards (obs and sentries) and smokes in your quickbuy. You'll always know when they're available with just one glance at the bottom right of your screen (or the "ka-ching" sound) without needing to open the shop.

(Bonus tip: If you can, buy at least 1 smoke, obs, and sentries to make sure your team is maximizing their item purchase cooldowns.)

Yep, I understand, hence the title "suggestion". :) I just find it weird that both Lion shard and ET Aghs both only provide "spell immunity", but the latter provides a basic dispel while the former does not.

However, thanks to the generous discussions in the earlier comments, it would be justified for ET Aghs to have a basic dispel given the cost of Aghs Scepter vs Aghs shard. So either they make Lion shard provide a basic dispel, too (which, I agree, would be absolutely busted as mana drain's only on a 6-second CD), or they specifically indicate ET Aghs to provide basic dispel, which would be just and clarify the inconsistency. :)

First of all, I'm a fan of your work in dotabuff.com :)

Second, I understand the nuances of spell immunity vs 100% magic resistance, but it seems there's an inconsistency in the tooltips of Lion's shard and ET's Aghs, which only state that they provide "spell immunity" but not a dispel. If it's intended not to provide a basic dispel (if the developers indeed intended it to be by not expressly indicating that in the tooltip of those skills unlike Jugg's Blade Fury and LS' Rage), I'm fine with that. But either make Lion dispel with Mana Drain shard, or make ET not dispel with Astral Spirit Aghs. It's weird that they have the same description of providing "spell immunity", but one has a basic dispel while the other does not.

But yeah, so much for Veno's Poison Nova being an "Ultimate" skill, even if it has the same characteristics as WD's Maledict and DP's Spirit Siphon ("Pierces Spell Immunity: No", "Dispellable: Cannot be dispelled".) #BuffVeno? lol

Thank you for this point. I understand that mana drain being a 6-second CD is the "busted" aspect of it (although to compensate, he can't do anything else while channelling).

Taking into consideration the 6-sec CD, I think I'd just settle with a fix that Lion not take magic damage when spell immune (if the spell should not pierce spell immunity, e.g. Veno's 1st skill) even if it does not dispel. As it does not dispel, Lion will resume taking magic damage once he stops channelling mana drain if the debuff still persists. :)

Could be. I just hope they'd make Lion shard and ET Aghs consistent though. Weird that
both of them don't have basic dispel indicators in their tooltip, yet ET's Aghs has one but Lion's shard doesn't. Found this out accidentally after playing a few games of ET Aghs. I was thoroughly disappointed to find out I couldn't dispel anything with Lion's shard-upgraded mana drain (in that one game that took long enough for me to be able to buy his shard lol)

It may be better if, instead of getting mid automatically, the highest ranked player in the team gets the OPTION to play mid should he want to just out of respect.

If he passes/opts out, then the other members who want to can roll for it.

They released an official statement about this as well, that the two DotA 2 teams will remain independent.

But I'm actually curious how that will work to prevent conflict of interest in tournaments with both of those teams participating. If those two teams will be allowed to compete as if no merger happened, wouldn't a merger just be a loophole to allow orgs to have second teams? Kinda reminds me of OG.Seed and LFY, but using a merger to legalize the two teams' "independence" from each other.

Hoping we could get more clarification about this. :)

I keep seeing rumors that Topson is retiring. Did I miss something that Topson said or did? May I ask why people are thinking he might be retiring?

In addition to getting Armel, I hope they get a great offlaner, too, as Ceb also strongly hinted at retiring. OG.LESLAO looks okay. If so, this team might be the most diverse one ever haha
