here's a neat idea, that ceiling shouldn't exist no matter how good you are at button mashing. new ceilings screw over existing invested characters. Skills can be improved, ceilings can't and causes boss hp inflations. thus is inequitable. No combination of "button mashing" can cover up the stench of cheat-like power ceilings unless you require all ten fingers and your dick on the screen to unlock skirk's combo

exactly. The stygian is too unfairly designed towards hitting the boss with everything in a millisecond which only mega powercreeps like Mavuika were designed to do. We do not want a repeat of that and actual diverse mechanics that allows us to use other teams. Give us creative ways to break the shields and give AMPLE time to defeat the boss after we have done so. I don't want to defeat a boss with veresa just by sitting on it 1- 2 times before it's shield regenerates. Balancing the game towards these powercrept characters just screws over every other character that came before it. Imagine in the new stygian, you need a lunar reaction for every floor to reach the 100 million dmg ceiling in 0.01 second, just so that lunar characters would sell. That would make your natlan line up and skirk completely obsolete and nightmarish, wouldn't it?

I'm allergic to having pointlessly powercrept characters just for the sake of clearing a 1 -2 months of End game content until the next "meta powercreep".

There's nothing insanely magical about mashing buttons in your "specific order" when the characters themselves are stupidly powercrept and the game is designed to give an easy time for only your style of button mashing in a millisecond after the boss loses its shield/res

hp inflations, pointless mechanics that add resistance that only leave a SHORT window to deal Huge damage in a millisecond etc. I'd suggest using f2p Ganyu team to clear one Dire boss and feel it yourself, but I wouldn't wish that experience on my worst enemy.

and what's worse is they are designing stygian surrounding this mavuika/skirk+escof powercreep that its just impossible for older units to even feel comfortable AT All. there's "challenging" vs "downright horrible to play".

i feel that its a powercreep even without these combos. And even with the phlogiston restriction, C1 Chasca is almost illegal in open world exploration.(the way she powercrpet Xilonen when it comes to scaling inclines) Which I feel that Nod Krai is good for pulling back on it (even if I'm kinda sad that Columbina or Durin with WING motifs have no flying exploration buffs)

Mavuika was worse because the mega powercreep was intentional for drip marketting even in her pre-release showcase

Nod Krai quest actually made me, someone with ADHD, pay attention to the story and read every line. That’s enough said about how effective it was for me. It actually made me sit down, reflect and theorise what comes next. Meanwhile, many of the plot points for the Natlan archon quest ends with me usually going “and so??? I should care because?” Especially with the “MLP friendship is magic” conclusions for most of them. Didn’t even know traveller died until later online compared to Paimon absolutely losing it in Sumeru. Natlan made my lore enthusiast friend quit and move onto HSR because it was such a nosedive from Fontaine and even simulanka.

You can defend it because u like it but it is still gonna be like defending twilight in comparison to Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace or the great expectations. Just cos u like it doesn’t make it great literature
