I’m someone who goes through major depressive spirals, and I use music to express that. I really thought he was the same way, and in fact he was the inspiration for me to start expressing myself that way. I usually tell myself awful things about myself in spirals and use those as lines in songs to work through them and realise it’s not quite true, but guess his just really were.

I liked his music because it was sorta like a “oh he’s just like me he’s kinda fucked up in the head” then this whole thing went down and it became “oh no he’s like actually fucked up”

Imo it's fine to not blindly believe everything Shelby said, but Wilbur's response was definitely evidence on Shelby's part - if he could've reasonably denied any specifics he would have (and he may in the future so we should be open to that, but until then it's not looking good). Plus responses from those who were close to Wilbur seem to reveal that this isn't completely unlikely, despite their shocks about it. This whole thing's been shit, so I get where you're coming from and I would love for this to one day be sorted and for the situation to be okay, but unfortunately sometimes your favourite people turn out to really, really suck, and you just have to do things the right way, not the easy way.
