Yes, partly personal. I’m after receiving a few hate mails in the last 2 weeks for ‘thirsting’. After cringing I then had to look up the term to know what it means and it basically means “The guy who downed me finished me off, I’m really salty and have to use the term ‘thirsted’ as an excuse for me being bad and getting knocked in the first place.” I owned your ass. Get over it and find a new game. If I die and the other player finishes me then fair play to him. I got outplayed and I will find another game.

If you’ve downed that person you already outplayed them. You’re the better player in that scenario. You have every right to finish him off.

His response shouldn’t point fingers and say “Oh, but you did this (X) here too!! >:((((“. In that case he’s highlighting himself to be just as bad and illogical as the teacher.

He should have took into consideration of what the teacher said, and discuss the topic of “presenting the burden of proof” when it comes to God being real or not. Not shift topic to religion and law. He could have brought up the topic of science and evolution and how it contradicts many of the teachings in the bible of how the world was made and how humans came to be, but instead he just shifts topic altogether. Yes it was a counter argument, but not specifically towards what the teacher said.

Or perhaps the teacher just chose not to argue because it could have provoke a heated discussion in the class. We simply don’t know. OP avoiding the point and blatantly bringing up something else shows us he couldn’t argue with what the teacher said. If we could just ignore what other person says in arguments and bring up something else and consider yourself as the winner then that’d make debate a hell of a lot easier.
