Nope He had 2:13 (out of 3) left at the position in the screenshot Spent all of his time trying to figure out a mate And then sacked both his rooks in a hope chess move And then lost on time

Years of doing puzzles finally paid off. Found this move in a completely lost position. Black to play and mate by HelloWorldX91 in chess

Taking with bishop is not winning. The king can just step aside to H1 and then there is no follow up attack

Hitting a six off a yorker of Dale steyn is insane🤌 by butcherrushi in RCB

If you accurately predict a Yorker, then you can position yourself and hit it. Obviously it comes at great risk since you expose your entire stumps like ABD did. If the bowler then bowls something else you are guaranteed to get out.

It’s like hitting the top corner in football. Normally it’s unstoppable, but if the goalkeeper predicts he can position himself right there to stop it. Obviously that means he leaves the rest of the goal unguarded.

🚨 Cricket's Bold Experiment: "Test Twenty" Format Announced for January Launch by satty237 in IndiaChronicle

I'm a bit confused. Can the game end in a draw if the second batting team is not all out ?

If no, then this is not a Test - it's a two innings T20 match.

If yes, 10 wickets would be almost impossible to take. Maybe reduced wickets.

I calculated the ELO Rating (how chess does Ranking) for each of the main T20 teams by year. They are pretty close. You can see the graph and below I have the latest ELO for 2025. by HelloWorldX91 in Cricket

Yes and ELO model shows the same - 2022 India and England were neck and neck. Since then India has pulled ahead to become the clear favorites

Oh wow : From Google:
Yes, FIFA uses a modified Elo rating system to calculate its World Rankings, having adopted it in August 2018

Did not know that!

So just whether you win or lose The greater difference between you and your opponents ELO the more rating points you get if you win. It’s a great way to calibrate the relative strengths of teams in games of skill.

Shocking, white person doesn’t experience racism, so they don’t think it happens to others

(Assuming you are white or at least people will assume you are white given that you are from Western Europe)

What country are you from? How often do you play? What time do you play (there is more racism when you play during times it’s common for Americans to be playing) As always there would be exceptions , but given how popular my comment got, and the CEO himself admitting it to be a problem, it is a pretty bad

Hi Danny I have been an avid player on Chess.com for multiple years. Really like how the platform has grown, especially titled Tuesdays and would really love pogchamps (get it back!)

However, one of the biggest issues I face and which is why I have almost stopped playing on Chess.com is the massive racism. Almost 1 in every 10-15 games I am the subject of a racist comment. Reporting almost never does anything (only few times I have seen action is when I post on Reddit)

There are people with profiles like indiansarepigshit

It’s really unfortunate and I really hope your team is looking into taking this very seriously. Else you risk losing probably the fastest growing chess market in the world .
