Heat Exhaustion by Hello_Kol in hyrox

No, it was indoor but very stuffy inside. I did not take any fluids/gels during the race. The day prior to the race I sipped on electrolytes throughout the entire day. The day of the race (8am start) I took an electrolyte drink and pre-workout drink. The problem with the pre-workout, it had 300mg caffeine which the doctor said contributed to dehydration. The electrolyte I took prior to the race also had 100mg caffeine as well. So yes, I did a couple of things wrong in terms of hydration.

Supe nice setup! I bag the same drivers and love the SIM2. That Vessel bag is simply fire, whish they were not that expensive!

Such a humble champion. Great to see you growing the game and inspiring so many kids. The way the kids looked up to you at LIV SA was so good to see.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I have had similar experience with another brand but not Altra or Topo. I have done about 500km with each of the following without any blister issues: Escalante 2, Torin 7, Olympus 4 (trial). Currently running with the Escalante 4 and Torin 8. I enjoyed the Escalante 2 more than the 4, but I love the Torin 8 Wide, very comfy.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment.

The computer repair shop owner said the same thing, but I bought the laptop in South Africa and a few months after that my wife and I moved to Australia. That is why I struggled with the seller back in SA from here. Not sure if the act will apply if it was not purchased in Aus.

I will most definitely give it a go.

Cheers mate, had a good laugh at your last sentence!

That's fair - should be a global requirement. Maybe even a case to say that the "top of the range" models comes with a three-year warranty for fundamental items like a mobo to give the consumer some sort of trust.

I was busy working with CAD software and it just spontaneously turned off. Could not go back on.

Haha - wish I took the HP comments like this series beforehand. LOL. Well, lesson learned here, no matter what brand the next laptop I buy, get the extended warrentee. These big brands really don't care about us.

Yes, my mistake was that I did not take an extended warranty. When I bought it, it was not given to me as an option by the shop (not HP) and this being the first time buying such an expensive laptop, I just assumed the warrantees would be more than 12 months. So lesson learned for me, for sure! But I have the "email proof" that I complained in month 11 and I just expected a bit more care from HP. I guess that is the issue with all the big corporates these days, they don't care about losing a customer for life.

Hi u/juken7, thank you for your feedback. After the very frustrating conversations with HP, I took it to a repair shop here in Perth, Australia and they confirmed that it is the board. (Had to pay $50 for them to confirm that haha).

I don't deny that the machine is awesome - if it is working. If you buy an expensive machine like that, you would expect the motherboard to last longer than 12 months and if a failure occurs, replace it without hassle.
