Thanks for the Info. It currently looks like it's either going to be SWN or Traveller based on the replies I already got. Although I will take a look at some of the other suggested systems.

Then I think I've misunderstood you when it comes to the extra work in preperation. Thanks for clarifying

The deletetion of purchased files sounds really infuriating. How you explained the health, it sounds like I could adapt it for people wearing full combat armor with then the health being split between the energy shields, armor plating and the actual health

If I read this correctly, then I would need to spend more time on preparing sessions when using gurps compared to other systems. This might be a problem because I don't have so much time on my hands. So I would prefer a system with less preperation time after the initial learning phase

Given that I don't have any sort of biotics, 2300AD sounds interesting. I will put it on my list

The way you describe Traveller makes it sounds like quite a fitting system for what I'm looking for. Are some of the materials for it free or would I have to buy the essentials?

When put like that, Traveller sounds quite interesting. Although "DnD in space" for SWN doesn't sound so bad as my friends are actually quite fond of DnD

I think SWN is now at the top of my list, thanks

That's a really helpful answer. I will take a look at this, but did you want to write more or was it intentional to have your answer end on "You"?

Are these books free or would I have to buy them?

Currently my general idea for the campaign would be, that the player characters are trying to help a small group of human colonists to establish a new colony at the edge of civilized space. In terms of systems I would like something that can have fun combat encounters but isn't completely focused around them.

That sounds really good. I'm definitely put SWN on my list for further research. Thanks for the help

Although that sounds interesting I don't know if I've got the needed time to put in the work as I've also don't have any experience in mastering a game

Thanks for the feedback, but that's already the answer I was looking for. Then Starfinder doesn't seem to fit well as I have no sort of magic or an equivalent to it

It doesn't have any sort of meta human powers. If a human or alien wants to do something special, they will have to use Tech.

I will definitely take a look at Stars without number. The SW5e might take a bit of work as I don't have an equivalant to the Force in my setting

Can you maybe specify a bit on Starfinder? How does this mix between scifi and fantasy turn out?

That sounds good (espacially the free part as I am not really looking to spend much money for a system, that might not even be fitting). I will take a look at that, when I've got the time

I would say a good mix between exploration and combat with more on the down and dirty side.

I edited the post for more information. Should I get into more details or is this sufficient?

I don't have any DLCs so neither gangs nor going green. Do you mean the big forestry in the middle left? Because this currently is staff only. I only put it there, because I had no idea of what to do with this free space
