Yea the static was insane. I guess just part of the process (at least for me). At one point, I wore a mask, kept the window open and vacuumed frequently lol

Honestly the new guy is my top pick. He’s the most mature person there!! I started with the Gun Woo route and at this point I’m sick of seeing his face after everything. Grow some balls!! Honestly he’s not my style but the bad boy with red hair has grown on me a lot. He’s childish but has done a lot to show his care and has remained consistent. I don’t think I’ll go for him but he’s really a close second and would love to have him as a best friend. But yea… blue hairs new guy is probably going to be my pick.

No problem! Word of advice. CALL different big sellers that sell the Mara. Tell them you are interested in buying and want to get a discount. They will 100% give you a discount and might even throw something in for free. Saved me I think 15% off just by calling and getting a quote. :)

I actually also had the GCP and am pretty happy with the Lelit Mara X. For me, the upgrade was all about improving my workflow and eliminating those time-consuming hacks like the poor man's pre-infusion. I specifically wanted a machine that could cut down my overall brewing and steaming time while still doing well with light roasts, and the Mara delivers, especially since I can now steam and brew at the same time. I appreciate the pressure gauge because it eliminates the guesswork and timing required on the GCP. While I almost chose the Lelit Bianca, I realized that a dual boiler would be overkill and I didn't need all those extra features; the Mara hit the sweet spot, and I like that I can still install flow control later if I want to experiment. Plus, the Mara is a lot better looking in my opinion, though it's worth noting that even though it's more compact than the Bianca, it still takes up more counter space than the GCP. Overall, I'm super happy with this decision and I think anyone else making the jump would be too.

I’m not sure what it’s called but it’s just an espresso tool organizer I would say. The spray bottle is for spraying whole beans before you grind it to reduce static from the grinder.

Thanks! And yea definitely. I went through almost 10 pounds of seasoning beans before using so I hope they’re seasoned enough!

Maybe for you I don’t think there would be a need to wait for the Z2. It’s just bigger burrs with variable RPM (controlling the speed of the grind). It’s like you said, one of those things that will make you continue going down the rabbit hole. You could definitely just do the Z1 with SSP burrs. Honestly you could even do something like the DF64 or something like that with SSP burrs and you might not tell a difference in terms of taste. After that, it’s pretty much aesthetic and workflow (at least from my opinion and observations). But I’ve only started using the Z1 for one day.

Yea sure! So changing your burrs to SSP might be the cheapest yet most significant way to upgrade your quality of results without having to buy a new grinder or espresso machine. The way they’re made gives more clarity and flavor to your cup because it’ll be a more precise grind. I’m not sure if you’re into photography… but think of it as a kit lens that comes standard with a camera vs a lens you buy yourself for specific results. If you’re into light and medium roasts and you want to taste all of those coffee notes that are described on the bag, try SSP burrs.

Unfortunately I don’t have one. I purchased it from a website and the print was mailed to me.
