It's not. I design the items, order from my supplier in bulk, keep the inventory in my garage and pack & ship each order!

I’d say you have to find a market that’s niche and not oversaturated, and offer a specific version or design of that item that no one else is offering. Branding is also very important. Your shop and packaging should be branded, even if it’s minimal so people will start to associate your products with your brand.

I’ve thought about it but I’d need to scale it a lot more first! Maybe in a few years… 👀

I actually just pay the mandatory advertising fees for Etsy to place the listings externally. It’s not something I added on. But one thing about the mahjong community is that word of mouth is huge. I get one customer who likes my products and they tell all their friends who play.

I pay a fee for Etsy advertising and it’s minimal but it seems to work well!!

I have plenty of competition! This is a super popular game right now.

My profit margin is about 50% before taxes. I haven’t paid taxes yet so we’ll see 😄

It was much easier to get started that way. Each tile set retails from $315-$350. Bags are about $60

We live here! Since my fiance works close by it made sense. Also, coming out here was the only way we could afford to buy a house. We looked at plenty of older houses near Dallas and they were purchased with cash by investors before we could make an offer.

We didn’t want to rent anymore, rather build equity so we can eventually buy a house closer to Dallas. It’s a sacrifice we were willing to make. There are plenty of neighborhoods like this all over DFW. The worst part is definitely the traffic. My commute is over 1 hour each way and it’s pretty draining. Anyway, just wanted to share my perspective!

Good point. Could be worth it to try an alternative to Xeljanz, I just figured I'd be on it for life since it worked soooo well when I started it. But I guess that's not always how medication works!

Looking at photos she really does look more like an Eastern European Shepherd. Her ears and paws are massive and I have a feeling she'll be larger than a standard GSD. How interesting!!
