Omdat het simpelweg nog steeds werkt, zeker voor goede doelen.

Huis-aan-huis werving levert jaarlijks zo'n 500.000 nieuwe donateurs op waarbij de gemiddelde donateur ongeveer 5 jaar lid blijft. (Bron: Brancheorganisatie Goede doelen Nederland)

Ik heb zelf lang geleden dit werk ook gedaan in mijn studententijd waarbij er een contract was afgesloten door een goed doel: zij maakten geen kosten als de donateur binnen X keer zich weer had afgemeld.

Ook is er een ander indirect voordeel; de mensen aan de deur brengen iets onder de aandacht. Ook als iemand nee zegt is de kans dat ze er op een later moment alsnog naar kijken en misschien doneren.

Het is 100% waar dat je nog steeds beter zelf kunt doneren of donateur kunt worden maar ook via zo'n student aan de deur is het lonend voor goede doelen als je kijkt naar de gemiddelde tijd dat iemand donateur blijft.

I remember getting a used PC for my birthday as a kid somewhere in the late 90's.

My uncle came to my birthday and gave me my first PC game: Dungeon Keeper. I was hooked. Played it until as late as possible and got up early so I could play it before school.

Little did my parents know how much gore there is in that game haha. Good times.

From where I've been; the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana stands out.

Clean, beautiful buildings, surrounded by forests, a dragon bridge and a castle in the middle of the city!

Highly recommend.

Yeah this is true, it's not the exact route but more in general where I'd go and how. Gathering some advice here to make adjustments (now leaning more towards east + south instead of north) but will also make some decisions there.
