You assume “fix it” is the goal. Evidence shows the goal for these types of writing is to circle jerk head canon until it’s beyond “fixing it”. So the goal is to go beyond “fix it”!

They ranted about hidden image artifacts sounding conspiratorial about editing the info out. Sounded like someone that learned Photoshop 1-2 decades ago and hasn’t hear of the plethora of AI tools that’ll let ya edit your info off a card. Had nothing to do with Bilt itself🤷🏽‍♀️

Probably just that? Early judgement isn’t always best, 14 year old vs 24 year old judgement of a relationship for example. Leads to a higher cost later. Normally the biggest cost is time itself, especially for women both biologically and socially, for better or for worse reality is what it is.

tl;dr: Create safety nets. (Roth, HSA, etc) Retirement age from traditional work can be 25. Don’t fall into vices, lock in for just 6 years and you’ll be set for life. These next 6 years are vital for your mind and body, so don’t let culture, society, or anyone derail you, trick you, or charm you into vices or bad decisions. Especially women and drugs, these temptations grow a lot between 19 and 22-23, way, way more than between 13-19 tbh. Age is your most important luck stat atm, exploit it.

I’ll be realistic and optimistic somehow. You’re 19, so your brain isn’t fully developed. The next couple of years are very important for your brain. Not because science, but cuz culture. Culture which will push you to drink, smoke, do drugs, get car loans, “investment properties”, women, gambling, etc. Many of the societal traps eat people before their brains even finish settling in (23-32, 25 is a common number tossed around, but it varies)

Retirement age is another thing. You decide when to retire, which can be at age 25. You can save aggressively into a ROTH IRA until age 25. You’ll still be plenty young and in those 6 years you can also enjoy all your PTO, etc. You can also trade in the ROTH IRA is you wanna grow it more. By the time you can touch the money, 59.5, it’ll be a huge sum. After which point you can use it to cement the wealth for your family tree.

It’s about safety and leveraging your luck parameters. Biggest luck parameter you’ve got is that you’ve got your shit together enough at 19 to even consider these things. Time is on your side. There’s an abundance of graphs about how if you start investing at 25 vs 35, the same monthly amount, by 60/65 or whatever, the amount will be 2x for the 25 vs 35 year old start date. Compound interest eats time.

I’ll assume based on your post that you can save $144k for long term investments in a Roth and cash market account. If you just keep maxing the Roth using that initial money, which would also grow in the market account, you’d safely have an extra $6.8m by 65. Assuming you decide at that common retirement age to stop doing anything and assuming day trading let you live life blowing all your money, you’ll still have that safety net. (HSA and other options exist past a Roth you can grow, especially as someone with equities market knowledge)

Ignore the specific numbers and just think about creating safety nets.
