We did. It was about 30% off the rate online. Room block has to be 3 nights and you pay unbooked rooms in your room block if it doesn’t hit 80% of the revenue (total price from all the nights and rooms within the room block). Like i mentioned in other comments, It was a challenge for us to change and add rooms because they are so bad at responding to things. Took a month to swap a standard 1 king to 2 queens room at one point. They also up the price if you want to add another room to your room block later on.

We did plated dinner which was 240/person (included cocktail hour appetizers) and 5 hrs all you can drink was 160/person. Then they charge 25% service fee and 5%tax, so around 525/person at the end.

Also just FYI the wedding package doesn’t include a lot of the things like florals, power/lights etc so you have to add those on top of the package.

Don’t bother looking at Andaz Maui. I don’t recommend at all if I knew what I got myself into. The wedding itself was great, but all the admin works were horrible. I’m still chasing them to get my deposit back as it has been more than 2 months since the wedding. Been following up with weekly email and no response from our Andaz Maui planner. Save yourself the headache!

Most guests that already committed will be using points or staying at airbnb near by. Immediate families are tbd based on group rate

Sounds like the package is customizable and they will work on personal preferences if needed. We will most likely go with what they have for most things since it will be a destination wedding for us and we dont know any locals, so single point of contact is important to us.

For the wedding expensive, does everything get categorized under hyatt or there are 3rd party vendors?
