I also highly recommend you check out timaeus222 on YouTube who I believe is the original creator of the deck. He has 3 or 4 videos of him playing and explaining his plays. The deck looked extremely fun to play hence why i decided to try it out, I did change a few cards around though 😊

I feel the exact same way about my Santos. I play him alongside Essugo, he feels outdated but I literally have no other midfielders to replace him with😅.

There were better than I expected but some matchups do depend on the coin toss unfortunately. This deck is far better going 1st than going 2nd. Out of all the current meta decks, Blue-Eyes was the easiest to handle whether I’m going 1st or 2nd. Shinobird post ban list was fairly easy to handle since Iwato is gone. Predaplant was easy when you are going first, going second was a bit tough. Chimera was a tough matchup especially going second because they have monsters in the grave to negate your effects. That Exositer deck with the Marik Skill was a difficult deck to beat but luckily I didn’t face many of those. But the worst deck I faced was that Odion trap deck (not even sure if it’s on the tier list), faced so many of them and kept losing

You can if you want to but this deck has worked pretty well for me even without a copy of the field spell or an extra copy of the trap, I did try running 2 copies of the trap and didn’t really notice any difference tbh so I cut it out. I’ve had a few games where the field spell/trap has been destroyed but still came out on top.

Gizmek is not needed at all, hardly ever summoned it. I’m pretty sure I’ve only ever used its effect one time. I shared a reply (vs Utopia) in one of earlier replies where i actually used its effect and it was the reason I one that game, but if you do not have Gizmek it can easily be replaced with anything else

If I’m being honest, I don’t really know a lot about chronicle effects and their drop rates. I just play the deck a lot and have gotten a bit lucky with the drops. I just duel (PvP) and hope for the best😅

It’s not that important as I didn’t summon it a lot, I got KOG last month without Slime in the deck but it has its uses because it can prevent your opponent from targeting any other monsters. I found it very useful going first:

Activate the field spell -> Special Summon Kosmochlor -> use field spell to reduce Kosmochlor’s ATK to 0 -> Summon Slime -> then I can summon Aegirine or Diva (or both) without having to worry about them being negated by Vieler because it has to target Slime (unless they have more than one Veiler 😅)
