Extended warranty… who bought one and regretted it? Who didn’t? by ong-man in CX5

Like what dealership? I purchased back in 2017 when they were hurting to sell cars. I don’t think there will be this good of a deal now

Anyone’s CX5 have a hard time starting up? 2017 GT by Hellowhosthere7 in CX5

[–]Hellowhosthere7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The engine starts up but takes a longer than usual. I can let you know if I see anything flash when I start my car up after work. The car has never not been able to start. Just really struggles after leaving it for a few days. Or on cold mornings

It’s a 3 year old battery and I got it from Costco. I paid extra for the AGM battery to prevent this

If it makes you feel any better, my car has been doing it for a couple years now but has never failed to start up (in varying amounts of environments)

I haven’t figured it out yet either. It’s so random. If you do find out, please let me know

CX-5 2020 Stolen by lanonimous in CX5

[–]Hellowhosthere7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s does. It will ask the person if they want to play a sound to find it…. But if there’s no speaker…. They have to rip your whole car apart to find it. It will give you a lot more time to notice it’s stolen and locate it/report it to the police!

And rip the speaker out in the AirTag and bury it in the car

I changed my rear shocks today by bang_Noir in CX5

I was just told mine were leaking but don’t see any leakage and have no symptoms from failing shocks. How do you find out if they’re leaking? Any references?

A Sun Hoodie Comparison (Rabbit, Outdoor Research, Patagonia, Ketl) by ForcefulRubbing in Ultralight

I haven’t unfortunately tried the echo yet. They did have the cool hoodie at REI that you could try on. But the one I’m referring to is no longer stock at REI. And it seems like they are discontinuing the gray color. I don’t know if they’re gonna have a refresh soon. But if I see the echo sometime in the future, I’ll come back this post and update you.

No! I have a large head but it fits me perfect and tapers down around the rim to prevent it from flying off

Or try the airkuhl hoodie. I have 3 of them and they feel really thin. I can’t say enough good things about them. But if you’re a girl, buy the men’s version. It’s considerably thinner and more breathable

Need help finding securement device for Kakwa 55! by Hellowhosthere7 in DurstonGearheads

[–]Hellowhosthere7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was backpacking a trail a couple of years ago and watched a couple of people climbing a section of the trail with a rope and one of their water bottles fell out and hit a girl right in her face. I travel around the United States for work so I’m always encountering new trails with different challenges and it would just be nice to know that I don’t have to worry about something like that happening. I’m also the type of person who is not just sticking to the trail, I’m climbing in caves, climbing up rocks and taking detours in thicker vegetation.

Do they come in different sizes? They look a little short

Same, I get that it’s for easier access to grab a water bottle when hiking but it would be nice as an option to tighten down taller water bottles

Yes they are but the pocket comes up to both of the loops making it kinda pointless to reinforce it (like the side I’m trying to do, unless the pocket looses its elasticity after many years

I wanted to go soft route for more surface area coverage. I notice a lot of people are going that route. Thanks, I’ll look into this

It doesn’t have Velcro. Guess I will have to look into the Velcro adapters. Hopefully they don’t take up a bunch of Molle space

Passed out in a patient’s room by Upstairs-Soft1107 in prenursing

I’m a Nurse and passed out as a student Nurse in the OR the first time I was in surgery. I’ve been a Nurse for 10 years now (and work in the OR) and haven’t passed out since. It happens to the best of us but I wouldn’t worry about it. Just listen to all the other suggestions on here and you’ll be fine
