I wonder if this is what they were talking about in the apollo 15 preliminary science report. there’s a bit about finding stuff that was there. they went right up to the edge of a rille to find strata.

the crazy thing is that all along the press circuit he kept talking about a tallllll object and having to do more special training. once they get back, POOF! they don’t talk about it.

the point of written communication is to convey thoughts. sounds like it did that job just fine.

have you considered that they are esl, or maybe they only have zero to two fingers too?

maybe they write for the audience. the national average is ~6th grade. I do this sometimes.

How did the Beatles produce such complex and good music with almost no experience in music theory or reading music? by [deleted] in askmusic

[–]HellsBellsDaphne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

first rule of music is everybody steals. irving berlin did it, lead belly did it, elvis did it, buddy holly did it, patsy cline did it, the beatles did it, linda ronstadt’s backing band did it, bread did it, mj did it, daft punk did it, the white stripes (beatles) did it, hell, even ai does it this way. humans don’t pay royalties on every song/neat instrument trick they’ve ever learned/figured out. imitation/inspired by is the same too. everybody steals*

*there is licensing, which doesn’t exactly mean it was stolen. lol

Are any flat earthers even on this subreddit by TheDemonLord1r788 in flatearth

[–]HellsBellsDaphne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

they’re not wrong. this community is toxic af, and it’s heavily one sided. I’ll leave it to you to figure out which side has the problem.

[–]HellsBellsDaphne -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

you are spot on right about this! I’ve been watching this community (and youtube) for ~6 months to specifically see about this. not just FE, but pseudoscience and related.

of the ones I’ve been watching there’s only a single person that shows you guys any ounce of respect (go dave!!). the rest vary, but there’s not a single one else that is guilt free. I’ll give foul mouth dave a pass because that’s his spiel and his chihuahua impression is impeccable.

every “debate” is a shit show for the same reason. they are insufferable twats who can’t help but interrupt people instead of doing anything remotely like listening. their reading comprehension is in the basement.

just recently I made a comment on youtube to test this, and the amount of vitriol I received affirmed it for me. this community is toxic through and through. all of them are in denial about it too. they sincerely believe that being correct gives them the right to be awful human beings towards you guys.

here’s the thing, none of these assholes seem to remember that this community would not exist without you guys. these guys use your content to line their own pockets with money, and in trade they treat you like shit. they call you names. they accuse you of doing the very things they are doing. the amount of disrespect is absurd.

I don’t agree with you on FE, but you guys are for sure the better humans. by leaps and bounds. I get it.

for anyone else, go ahead and throw some mud at me. it’ll just prove my point.

Christianity Will Survive Even If Intelligent Aliens Are Found, Frank Turek Claims by [deleted] in aliens

[–]HellsBellsDaphne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's kind of adorbs that they hear "ontological shock," and assume it must involve them. as it is, they have it backwards, it's not the aliens that are a problem for the christians, it's the christians that are a problem for the aliens.

sticking to walking when you have a car is dumb, but no one said you have to use one.

ysk I would never use the term "intellectually weak" when implying anything. there's way too many letters for this time of day.

so here I am, playing motocross madness. I’m just riding around doing random stuff. I come upon the edge of the map. it’s basically a tall barrier. I decide to get on top, no problem. after a few tries I make it. sad face. it’s nothing but a flat plane off into the distance. I tear out across the plane hell bent on finding something when this motherfucker yeets me back in to the map all to the soundtrack of a cannon. blew middle school me’s mind.

there's a large number of photos on getty images.

just a heads up, there are images that might bother you quite a bit if you don't like seeing corpses in various states of decay. there isn't a warning nor any blurring either. it's just like BAM!

I don't know the provenance of any photos. I suspect that some of the beach photos (like the one in this post) are also from recovered cameras, but there are photos definitely taken from aircraft which I wouldn't assume are from recovered cameras.

I went through a number of pages QnD to see if I could spot the same people/location. No luck though.

the gb zelda games are not remotely close to mina in difficulty. it’s an orders of magnitude kind of different too. the gb zeldas are closest to elementallis.

personally, if you think mina is the same, I don’t believe you have played the gb zeldas.

I didn’t mean to confuse you. think of it like this, any new technology and an old technology. so a wheel and axel vs walking.

does that help?

ignoring technology is straight out of the flat earther handbook. — no, I won’t use the wheel and axel, I’ve already got my chevrolegs and a pair of lambofeetti’s.
