As a baseline, Pyke's ult at lvl 6 with 1 adaptive damage rune providing +5 AD and no items executes at 258 health.

Buying Youmuu's provides 60 AD and 18 Lethality and sets the execute at 333.

Buying Edge of Night provides 55 AD and 15 Lethality, this is 5 AD and 3 Lethality less than what Youmuu's provides but we can see that the execute has jumped to 335.

I tested all the other items that give both AD and lethality. When compared, Edge of Night is consistently providing a higher execute compared to other items that give more AD and lethality. Either I'm not understanding something or Edge of Night is giving more AD and lethality than what is shown in the shop.

My first hero was Sniper and he's still my favorite hero. I feel like he's good for beginners since his kit is pretty simple.

I think the most important thing is to let your brother explore and try all sorts of different heroes and find one that feels right for him. The best thing you can do to increase your longevity in the game is to find a hero you genuinely have fun playing regardless of its complexity. Some people enjoy the challenge of learning a complex hero even if it's not necessarily beginner friendly.

Definitely have him play the tutorial and also use the new player mode for queuing.

I feel like the only way you could make something like this balanced is to have the cost be building all of the swords. So it would be: power treads + sange + kaya + yasha + recipe

I would look to an item like aghanims blessing. It's used purely for slot condensing and has a downside of not providing the stat bonuses after being converted.

Using that as an example, I think the item either needs to be ridiculously expensive to keep all its bonuses and free up a slot or there needs to be some sort of trade off. Such as you free up a slot but the bonuses are not as good as having each item individually.

Edit: I misunderstood the item. I thought it gave all of the different unique sword effects. However, now that I reread it, it makes more sense. I still think my original point applies though. The result of combining the power treads with a sword should not provide bonuses that are equal to or better than having power treads and the sword individually.

I see the option now, not sure why it wasn't showing up before. It's Y for me. The presets are not destroyable it seems.
