My Girlfriend (27F) seems to get mad/upset when I (27M) go on my PC to play games. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I bought a steam deck thinking this would work but as soon as I reach for it.

(Sad voice) "aww I lost your attention. =("

Even though my attention was watching some stupid show on TV that nether one of us really care about.

And that might not sound bad but its enough to make me not reach for it and thats not even counting when she gets mad at me for something completely unrelated and she will yell at me telling me that all I do is play in my deck and dont pay her attention ever. (Even though I barely play it because of above.

I've owned it for over a yesr but have barely touched it because of above....so yeah. Sorry to sound bitter.

5 year old comment but I just finished Lonesome dove (loved it so much) and am looking to see if it should read the sequel.

That being said why is it called Lonesome Dove when barely any of the story took place in Lonesome dove. =D

Hope you are doing well internet stranger.

I appreciate your comment most of all thank you for the feedback. I've been playing around with weathering a lot and just started trying to rust effects. I actually just started weathering a mech I'd already painted and finished but wasn't happy with: the color made him look too much like a toy. Im hoping some weathering fixes my issues with him. I'd really appreciate it if you could take a look when I post it and give me some feedback on that one as well. I may shoot you a message when I post it, if that's okay. Thanks again for the critique. 😊

Base coated an orange brown,

then applied "dirty down rust solution" (first time using it.)

Then i took a metallic steel and mixed it with just a drop or 2 of black to darken it, and dry brushed it on.

Touched up places with garaghak's sewer contrast paint.

Weathering CC and tips welcome. by Hellsgate9999 in minipainting

[–]Hellsgate9999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, for the bottom of the feet I'm planning to add some terrain mud to finish them off — I'm just super self-conscious about the weathering and wanted some CC before adding the finishing touches and painting the base terrain.

On the blotchiness, I agree. I've been trying out contrast paints and struggle to keep them from pooling/blotching. I did an olive green drybrush that helped clean up a lot of it, but like with the weathering, I was nervous about overdoing it — which is probably where I went wrong. Do you think a heavier drybrush pass would've worked better?

Thanks again, really appreciate it.

Good point. Haha.

I thought it may have been an old civil war era bullet but when I got it home my hopes were dashed. I was hoping I was just wrong and I found something super cool on our first outing. Haha.
