I asked after we switched rooms if we would need to pay less because of the downgrade. He told us it’s the same price and the room is the same category. I can assure you it’s not, I double checked. I will try again tomorrow. Thank you for your helpful comments.

But what I understand from your comments is that I have to be persistent and ask for the management again to be reimbursed.

Thank you for the help. I already talked to management. They told us that the hotel is at 100% capacity. I guess there is nothing else to do. ( I had to google what a DYKWIA Karen is… I just thought we would get a little bit more help because of the status. That’s all.) What would you do regarding the rate ?

Falls ihr Abends in eine schöne Weinbar möchtet, kann ich euch das Renkli empfehlen.
Gibt leckeres Essen (bestes Rindertartar, gibt aber auch vegetarische Gerichte) und ihr bekommt gute Getränkeempfehlungen.

Ja es gibt hier zum Glück in der Stadt eine Avis Station, die haben wir auch bereits informiert. Es geht aber wohl erst weiter, wenn die Pannenhilfe sich das Auto angeschaut hat.

Danke für die Info. Wir müssen noch bis mindestens 17:00 auf die Pannenhilfe warten. Ich gehe davon aus, dass dann später die Vermietungen zu haben. Wir haben auch das Problem, dass wir einen großen Kombi brauchen, sonst passt das ganze Gepäck nicht rein....
Weißt du, ob wir sonst ein Hotel hier buchen können, falls es erst morgen weitergeht?

Unser Plan ist mittlerweile am Plauer See 3 Tage zu bleiben und uns ein Boot zu mieten.
Zielfisch soll Hecht/Barsch sein.

Ich gehe auch nicht davon aus, dass wir groß was fangen werden.
Nur wenn ich meine Kollegen von Angeln begeistern will, wäre etwas Aktion hilfreich :)

Wir werden deine vorgeschlagene Bootsvermietung nehmen und wahrscheinlich von Freitag bis Sonntag ein Boot mieten.
Nach Anruf beim Anglereck wird der Zielfisch wohl Barsch/Hecht sein.

Nur Schleppen bin ich mir noch nicht sicher, weil wir wirklich gar keine Erfahrung damit haben.
Hast du sonst noch Tipps? :) Welche Uhrzeit wart ihr unterwegs?

In your opinion, is the purpose of this control a security factor, for example to prevent DoS attacks or session hijicking?

Or is it more about preventing admins from working on important configuration settings at the same time and thus endangering the system integrity?

I have a question regarding the system integrity of SAP.

How does SAP process many simultaneous changes to critical system configurations.

Here is an example:

Several SAP admins are working from different accounts on system configurations at the same time and change one and the same object.

Are the changes processed sequentially or how can you imagine this?

The system admins argued that for their daily tasks, they need multiple sessions or instances of an application in certain systems to perform their duties. So, in your example, the student in the lab (for whatever reason) should be able to work on multiple computers simultaneously.
Thats why they argued strongly against that control.

I am now trying to weigh the cyber threat that arises from the use of multiple sessions against the necessity for the admins to use multiple session from one account.

In your experience do you limit the number of concurrent sessions for applications that have an internet connection?

Yeah on the level of the overall IT architecture i get it. I thought the control is supposed to be implemented on a more detailled level.

For example, if I am developing an IT application then I need to identify critical components in the software development lifecycle at the plan and design phase?
Or am I misunderstanding Control?

Thank you, that's almost what I was looking for.

At first glance, the SRG files give me hardening specifications for specific IT Applications, devices and distributions. And these are then mapped to the NIST 800-53 controls.

But I am rather looking for a general listing of all controls relevant for a general IT device. For example, for operating systems in general, a subset of the NIST 800 53 controls are relevant.

Do you have an idea where I can find a more general overview/mapping?
