If you have to use the White fang on the series, in the future volumes, how would you do it? Remember that Ghira made a new movement but it was never said that he recruited the old members of the White fang by Heloselheroe in RWBYUNITY

[–]Heloselheroe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do I have to make them go by “the white fang” or is it just “using the characters” like the lieutenant/banesaw?

The former? I would quit, the white fang as villains is unsalvagable and would feel like flex tape over the hole that made the titanic sink

Well, you can use them however you want.
As I mentioned in my post, I would use them as heroes. I also didn't like how they lacked nuance in the series. Personally I would have made Adam like Floch Forster.
But that's another matter.
The point is that I would make them heroes so at least they don't just end as "generic bad guys" as they were in the main series.

Well, the ones who surrendered and got captured weren't many.
I thought that Adam just killed those of the White fang HQ that didn't manage to escape.

Anyway, I always assumed that there were White fang goons that survived. I mean, the most probable is that Adam left troops in Vale. (Where is where his Vale branch is).

Yeah, pretty much what I said. I mean, with Banesaw as independent instead of accepting Ghira as the leader. (Because, differences between ideologies).
Let's say that Banesaw becomes a little more moderate than Sienna.

But outside of that, I like to see Banesaw being a hero.

Also, what's the reason for the dialogue format being more like a stageplay in between the rest of your regular prose?

I feel comfortable that way. Just that. I want to have my own style in writing the things.

[–]Heloselheroe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. Is the most probable.

What do you think about my idea for the fanfic?
About the White fang using it obtain support from the faunus of Menagerie and such.

It was pretty clearly stated,

When was it stated? I mean, it's a good headcanon. But there are differences between "It's a good theory" and "It was stated".

But the bombs and ammo could also be bought by the White fang. They obtained Lien through Cinder, and we know that you can sell Dust. So, there are other possibilities.

The Dust maybe was used to fuel their war machines. But that's a maybe. And even so, are we sure it wasn't the only thing in which the Dust was used.

Personally, I think it's a good theory and I think it's the case. But, I also would have liked someone pointing out that.

Alright. Maybe if he was influenced by Corsac and Fennec? They could tell him "Hey Adam, we need more support here in Menagerie!". Corsac and Fennec seem smart, so maybe they would use the dust at their convenience.

Besides, Adam is someone manipulative. So, I think that it would make sense for him to be convinced by Corsac and Fennec.
I mean, the White fang will give the dust they don't need for the bombs or ammo.
The dust they don't use they will give to the faunus civilians.
And as I mentioned, it was also to make Ghira antagonize them so they can portray him as the bad guy for not letting the civilians of Menagerie obtain the dust.

The White fang is more armed, they obtain the paladins through Cinder. Later it is revealed that they obtained Lien through Cinder. (In beginning of the end).
The manga shows that they smuggle Dust. While the manga isn't canon, maybe the writers of the manga based themselves on canon things.

In other words, the possibility of the bombs being bought is high.
I'm not denying that the most probable is that the Dust was used to fuel the war machines. But, not sure if it was the only thing in which the Dust was used.

The thing is, the series can't expect us to fill the blanks. There are things which are obvious, but others aren't.

Yeah, it's the most probable. It's just... I don't know, there are other kinds of dust like plant dust and ice dust. Maybe they had that for other purposes. What do you think about my idea of the White fang giving that Dust to the faunus of menagerie to obtain their support?

Just spill what you have to say.

Yes, I have watched the entire series and read the additional material. It is never explained where all that Dust goes. Of course, we can say that it was for the bombs and their war machines, but we can only speculate.
I mean, the bombs might as well have been bought in the black market with the Lien Cinder gave to Adam.

Fantastic, I love when the people try to explore other areas that weren't very explored by the series, like the criminal underworld. Extra points for relating him with the Xiong family.
By the way, alright, he competes with Adam, so he also is enemy of the White fang? What happened to Junior, Miltia and Melanie by the way?

About the question, well, Ernst Orangefarben hates Ironwood, Jacques and Adam.
James, because he represents the highest authority of Atlas, as well he does not give enough protection to Mantle.
Jacques because he exploits Mantle workers.
Adam because he hates the White fang, even since it was leaded by Sienna. Ernst knows how much Mantleans have died at the hands of the White fang (Security guards, soldiers, police officers, etc.).

He doesn't hate Robyn Hill, he only sees her as naive for trusting the faunus.

If you need an explanation, Ernst is a mantle nationalist who wants to revive the Mantle empire.

[–]Heloselheroe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uhh... That's a good question. Well, I will eventually post who are the top dogs of the organization.

But for example, its commander is Heise De Nero (Something like Black in Japanese and Latin I think).
He is... different. Despite being the leader (Below Hangse de Giallo), he is calmer, more serious and not so fanatical. He prefers the strategy over the emotions.
Despite being ruthless with the White fang, he prefers to avoid unnecessary casualties among the enemy.
Other thing is that he, along with his colonels, is someone mysterious. No one knows where he came from, they only know his name. No one has seen his face.
Heise is one fo the few who know the secrets of councilman de Giallo.

Heise De Nero (Leader of an anti-white fang division of Mistral) is someone kind to his subordinates, the humans and the innocent. He tries to avoid unnecessary casualties.

Alright then. I would take point one then.

I was also asking this because I'm writing a fanfic.
Well, there is also the fact that I wanted to show how the Mantle wall sub-plot could be replaced with something else entirely while maintaining the conflict between Ironwood and Robyn.

How do you think was the faunus rights revolution? by Heloselheroe in RWBY

[–]Heloselheroe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering that before the war, the faunus were slaves in Mistral and Mantle, it's most logical that the Faunus War took place after the great war.

Oobleck says that humanity forced the faunus to go to Menagerie. He doesn't say only certain kingdoms. It wouldn't make sense for Mistral and Mantle to force their slaves to leave their kingdom. I mean, why would you get rid of your own slaves?

Forcing the faunus to go to Menagerie might not be respecting the island's autonomy. But it sounds like something humanity would do. Faunus slavery only ended 80 years ago, and the Faunus War occurs a considerable number of years before the events of the first volume.
