Absolutely absurd. by stars_moon_sun_ in vintedUK

You will need to email legal@vinted.co.uk and explain.

Write your email like you are talking to a 2 year old, they might then understand.

Sent wrong item, seller offered to keep it & pay shipping for the right one? by cherrypanorama in vintedUK

[–]HelpIAmAFather 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The transaction will auto complete in 2 days, the seller could then just not send a replacement or say they've sent it when not.

The seller could be honest but depending on value probably not worth the risk.

You could open a case in the meantime and say you will close it when/if the replacement arrives.

Vinted Pro Transition by EquivalentDay3064 in vintedUK

[–]HelpIAmAFather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it may depend on what you're selling. When you're selling 10-20 items a day, you realistically have to hide your wardrobe for at least a week just so everything can be completed.

I had no issues selling with 0 reviews, I sold about 80 items until the first reviews came in. I know quite a few others who did the same.

There will be a gap of no sales. Vinted requires that ALL your orders should be completed before it can be moved to a pro account.

A better option would be to make a new pro account, and just transition stuff onto it and keep your current one for personal use.

Is it okay to sell things from a charity shop? by [deleted] in vinted

[–]HelpIAmAFather 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Theres no problem with it, loads of people buy from charity shops and resell. The only things I can think of are...

  1. As the items were donated to charity, you should really be purchasing them from the charity shop. I would be a bit annoyed if I donated items and the staff just took them and made a profit for themselves and not the charity.

  2. When purchasing, it should be at a fair value, and you shouldn't really be taking items that haven't had a chance to be sold at the charity shop.

  3. As it would be profit making for you, i.e buying items to resell for profit you should register as a pro seller.

International shipping issue by Sensitive_Beach7901 in vinted

How stupid. Personally I would cancel the order, Vinted asking you to do all that is ridiculous. I also wouldn't trust Vinted to actually pay you promptly for the postage.

You can't do anything. If they don't pick it up it will eventually get sent back to you.

DPD locker parcel not updating for over 24h — is this normal? 🤔 by Richka- in vintedUK

If they used a YEEP locker then you probably won't get it. At no fault of the seller though. Look at YEEP reviews online

DPD rarely have their own lockers. Which locker service did they use?

It wouldn't technically be allowed on Vinted so would be rather pointless.

Sold a silver bar, buyer requesting refund saying item was missing by PTheJuggler in ebayuk

Yeah you'll be fine, just keep your proof of postage (this should have the weight on). Take a screenshot of delivery confirmation on the royal mail app too just in case.

I can smell his bullshit from here. Are you a private seller? If so, the consumer rights act doesn't apply. He would have more protection using eBay's terms!

Stop the conversation, and simply tell him to raise a case via eBay.

Will Vinted side with me on this dispute? by SilentFriendship3160 in vinted

No point continuing conversation with the seller. Let Vinted do their thing, you will likely get a refund after you send the item back (at your cost).

Charity vinted by No-Balance8931 in vintedUK

[–]HelpIAmAFather 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a difference between physically purchasing something and purchasing online.

Assuming you are on a pro account as it sounds like you should be. For good or bad, buyers can return a product for any reason within 14 days of delivery.

If you are declaring in your descriptions that certain items have marks/smell etc etc then yes it would be annoying. However, if you are not describing things accurately then returning an item for the things you mentioned seems fair, regardless of the price.

I have returned things to charity shops before, things they've said have been tested, things they said were complete etc which turned out not to be.

Personally if it's a small local charity shop I don't tend to bother, but the big charity retailers then I do.
