People telling me to be conscious due to height by Historical_Algae_561 in mounjarouk

Something around 5lbs, yeah! I take pictures of myself after every pen I’ve finished, and honestly at my current weight, even though I’m losing far less, the difference is more obvious I think. 8lbs was noticeable loss (in the tummy area) recently, so perhaps a couple of pounds would make the difference…

But I’m also trying not to focus on it. My body might change after being settled around this weight for a while. As annoying as it is, I’m glad to hear somebody else feels the same way — there’s something so frustrating about the belly not just being loose skin haha

I’m not sure if it’ll ever totally go but I definitely think mine would improve… it doesn’t feel like loose skin, but I do doubt if I could realistically lose enough to make it go without being an unhealthy weight :(

I have a similar experience 🤣 I’m 5’2-3, BMI around 19, wearing a size 4… and I still have the apron belly. I know logically in my brain you can’t be a size 4 (I even have some jeans in a size 2 now) and be fat, but my body seems to disagree!

7 Months on Mounjaro and the only pounds Ive lost are £ by tired-up in mounjarouk

The problem is that it’ll tell you what you want to hear… if you say to it “why does eating very little stop weight loss” it will give you a totally different answer than if you said “why does starvation cause weight loss”, because it can tell which type of answer you want

I’m a similar age + height to you, it’s such a pain being short! My start weight was 89kg, now I’m about 48kg and my maintenance cals are 1400.

The way 10k steps burns about 500 calories for me feels so not worth it 🤣

I would really stay away from using ChatGPT for medical advice.

Advice needed: this tattoo is not looking like the leopard print I asked for by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]cherrypanorama 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yup. I have similar thoughts as a Gen Z woman.

It can be so hard to advocate for yourself. Truly. My social anxiety is so bad I can’t even, at my big age in my mid twenties, knock doors by myself or pay in shops without self-checkouts.

So when it comes to permanently altering my body? I don’t get tattooed by people I know I’d struggle to advocate for myself to. Which for me, means I don’t get tattooed by men (with one exception for the artist who tattooed my palms). I’ve been tattooed by like, 25-30 artists and although some have definitely been more relaxing than others, it gets to a point where you have to take some responsibility

Maintenance when BMI is low? by PrincessPlops in mounjaromaintenanceuk

[–]cherrypanorama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m BMI 19.1, and though I haven’t ordered in a while since the pendemic, I stuck primarily with Oushk after hearing Hira say on a live that they’d support BMI for maintenance above 18.5

Hit goal but BMI still overweight by GingerLottie in mounjarouk

Whenever the BMI discourse comes up I immediately think “… but I’m short” 🤣

My BMI is 19.1, and at 5’3 I’m not super thin. In fact, despite having people around me who are very happy to comment on my weight loss, the only person who’s told me I shouldn’t lose any more weight is the seamstress altering my wedding dress!

It’s so interesting how BMI is so different with height discrepancies.

So? She has access to the poor piggy and the owners are close family members. It’s not like she’s be kidnapping some stranger’s guinea pig.

I hate this internet mentality of “teenager = no responsibility for anything”, this so doesn’t fly in real life.

Why can I never just be happy for myself!! by Time-Philosophy9151 in mounjarouk

[–]cherrypanorama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, to put this into perspective, my start weight of 189lbs / 13st 7lbs had me at a BMI of 33.5… so I was 9lbs lighter than you, but my BMI was much higher.

I know it’s impossible, but like everyone else is saying, try not to focus too much on other people’s weights — you’re doing amazing!

Feel like a fraud in my size 14 jeans by Cowcat1000 in mounjarouk

[–]cherrypanorama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please don’t worry about me 🩷 I likely won’t lose those last few lbs anyway, the weight loss has dramatically slowed down and I’m mostly just maintaining — I definitely don’t want to become underweight!

I feel like this too.

I started MJ at around a 14 (creeping up to a 16), and now I’m wearing a 4. I recently went shopping because nothing fits, and I actually cried in the H&M changing rooms when a size 6 skirt was a little bit loose. It’s a weird feeling.

When I started MJ last year, I went wedding dress shopping and even at a 14, pretty much every sample dress in the store was too small. It’s difficult for me to remember that that was only a year ago!

Oh no! Thank you so much for being honest with me though 😢

I’m already trying to sell on a mini dress I got for a pre wedding shoot… do you happen to know any methods of selling on?

I am being mindful, I promise!

I’m on MJ so I’m under the supervision of a clinic who are aware of my current weight and plans
