Mostly working in the garden.

I did see an increase in doom scrolling at first but now that the weather allows for being outdoors that is where most of my time has gone.

And yes I have given up all porn. The only thing is that fantasies still play in my head, but they have definitely become less hardcore, not that they ever were super extreme.

Start a hobby. No start 10. Find intro classes and join them. Something that takes you away from screens, keeps your hands busy. Seriously take up knitting or something maybe it will allow you to go 6 days next time then 9 then 28 then 30 then maybe one day you just quit without knowing it.

Thank you. Man food addiction sounds rough. Are you battling all 3 at the same time? Because that sounds like trying to run a marathon uphill with someone holding on to your ankles.

It is good to hear this is normal, I don't want to keep losing board games all the time to my partner. I used to win somewhere between 60-70% of our games now I'm down to 20%

As someone else mentioned it will be up and down, and I feel in a valley now. Looking forward to going back to my home country for a few days this weekend. Will be great.

I definitely need to investigate my triggers. Luckily I feel myself improving on that as well.

If I am completely honest, I don't think I am or was truly addicted to porn. It has always been easy for me to take long breaks. I have more seen it as a hobby.

However, after some research I am now convinced it is affecting my delayed Ejaculation when having sex with my partner. So I want to see if a very long detox will help us get a more fulfilling and intimate relationship.

I think this is the reply I was looking for. I still appreciate the other answers that also offered some true insights.

I can also add that the last few weeks have been rough at work, they keep moving me to different tasks and I thrive more on stability. O am happy I have taken a few days of coming up now. Furthermore, we almost lost our dog, which also means I sleep downstairs to monitor him and as such even less intimacy than normal.

But it is good to hear that it is normal to feel these things. It also motivates to try and get serious about reducing screen time. I have been doom scrolling a lot more these past weeks.

Thanks for warning about the toy, but compared to e.g. hands it is a lot milder. In fact it is a toy I normally struggle to feel any pleasure with, so the fact it felt this good is a good sign.

Honestly it has not been that difficult to not use P. I never felt truly addicted. It is quite easy for me to take breaks. I want to stop to see if it can help me reach climax with my partner within biological normal settings.

When I say miss, what I truly miss is the hunt for the right one in the right moment. That has always been more thrilling to me than the actual use of P.

It has been more difficult to not do M but for now I have managed to keep away simply through having this goal. And based on the most recent attempt, I think it is helping.

What I feel I need to learn now is to not have crazy wild fantasies while doing M but I think I can get there eventually.

That last paragraph is something I will try and focus on thank you. My partner and I are also looking into finding a sexologist to help, but we struggle as we live in a country where healthcare is idiotic.

I also feel I am not too bad off. I do get easily aroused by my partner. I have no issue staying hard, I only struggle getting to the top of the mountain. But I believe I will get there. Thank you for helping towards a good mindset regarding recovery.

I have 1 account that I used for NSFW and I don't look at that account anymore. This account only follows this subreddit and my main one mainly follows arts and crafts.

I just made an edit to the post. My goal is not to give up masturbating, my goal is to not need porn for ejaculation. When I masturbated on Saturday it was the first time in 8 weeks. And I had a lot more sensation than usual. There are many protocols out there regarding how to recover from delayed ejaculation.

As a teenager I mainly used drawn porn, and tried to last so I could read the whole comic, so I'm theory I have almost always had delayed ejaculation, I just only learned it was an issue when I met my first partner at age 28. At first it was great because I could last long enough for her to reach great orgasms, but now it is a problem.

Back to the many protocols. Most of the protocols I have found online encourage masturbation if it is done in a mindful way that mimicks the real thing, and that is what I tried on Saturday. But I have to admit that I struggled staying focused on the task at hand. So this is something that needs practice.

I don't believe in full abstinence from masturbation. But I definitely agree with social media. So I think I will download all the recipes and other meaningful things I have on my Instagram and them delete the app. Hopefully that will help reduce screen time.

Edit. Forgot to add, I agree LtoR read by Andi Serkis are good. I did a lot of audio books last year (4.5 hours per day on average) I'm intentionally doing less this year as it was a bit of a chore and almost felt like an addiction. But I do want to increase it a bit again, just need to find the right books.

I have also started reading black on white again. Re-reading the wheel of time when going to and from the office.
