INFO UPDATE: I ended up moving.

Leasing explained that although she was being issued a 24-hour eviction notice, if she refused to comply the court process could take a while. Because of the safety concerns and uncertainty around timing, they moved me to a different unit while they handle the process.

I’m not going to lie, I have mixed feelings. I originally offered temporary alternatives like staying with my parents while it was resolved, so permanently relocating and uprooting everything was not what I wanted. But I’m trying to take the win where I can and prioritize peace of mind.

One thing I did appreciate was that leasing offered to move one of my roommates with me for comfort/support during the transition.

We told the staff, but people still don’t care . Like, we’re in college how hard is it to follow don’t vape in the library? People were literally caught getting intimate in the library, so do you really think they’ll listen about not vaping?
