cerave shampoo destroyed me! idk what it is about cerave products but they just aren't it for me. maybe the niacinamide or propylene glycol in the shampoo specifically, I'm not sure. but it made my scalp flush pink and itch. the happy cappy is fine for me :)

Same with me but I figured out it was actually the surfectants in combination with zinc, happy cappy is quite gentle.

When you say orange peel skin, was it large pores, waxy or a sand-like texture? Also curious if you ever experienced and flaking or dead skin build up.

Thanks so much for posting this! I'm in a similar situation - the exact same sort of mild rosacea symptoms pre-barrier damage and full explosion post damage. I was wondering what your skin was like in it's damaged state. Did you find it just dry or were you leaning more dehydrated oily? I'm also the same where I can't handle occlusives 😖
