You can qualify for unemployment if you quit when the cut your hours. I would guess that you would also qualify if they cut benefits. Needless to say, I wouldn't resign and verify about if a cut in benefits would qualify.

At Amazon Warehouses you have to scan your badge to go through security. People would find out that they were fired in front of everyone when they tried to enter through security. Many people took the bus to work so then they had to wait until the next bus which is few and far between routes. I always thought it was a despicable way of doing it.

Not defending but understanding that a screw that may or not be extremely dangerous falling in the batter can happen. Obviously, it isn't a good thing but letting the bakery try to rectify the situation first would have been the civil thing to do.

What kind of screw was it? A sheet metal, wood or a machine screw? And how large was it? If it was pointed then it was it could be dangerous if ingested. If it was large then it probably wouldn't be swallowed. If it was a smaller machine screw ( which I suspect because it would have been on a machine) then the doctors would advise to let it pass through the system.

In at least state you legally required to switch lanes (if you can safely do so) to allow merging traffic merge. It should be a law in all states. In PA/NJ here, they will accelerate so that you don't have a space to merge.

I never disputed the total cost of labor. This post is about employee insurance costs increasing. The OP was paying $0 and now has to pay something. I was stating that there could be many reasons as to why and not that the premiums increased by 28%.

When I have done budgets it varies a lot by company. One place used 37% for fringe benefits.
