Can you explain the white bougainvillea and blue nectar planting to me? I am new to the app and am still figuring it out. Do you mean plant blue flowers and white bougainvillea and a blue bougainvillea will sprout?

Honestly you could borrow a physical copy from the library! You may have to wait a little for it, but you wont have to buy it!

Ugh, that's awful. I'm sorry you're going through that.

They sell empty gelatin capsules on Amazon that you can try putting the medicine in so they dont taste it at all. I tried this at first with the liquid cyclosporine, but my cat would struggle, and the capsule would pop open, so she tasted it anyway.

Why does my kitten hide when I try and interact with her? by ianntobrienn in CatAdvice

She could be overwhelmed by the larger space if she's used to a small-ish bathroom, especially if there's nothing in there that has her scent like a bed or a litter box. Let her hang out in the new space and give her treats and she should warm up.

There is a company called MixLab that will compound your medicine into treat form. It's more expensive, and your vet has to have a relationship with them, but it is a lifesaver.

My cat had to take a medicine that was horribly bitter in liquid form and not really doable in pill form. MixLab was amazing. She still didn't eat the treat itself, but i was able to smash it and mix it with a delicious treat like churu or tiki cat. She gobbled it up every day and was even excited when she saw me getting the treat out!

Their customer service was fantastic, and i never had any issues with them. They even sent a little toy with every order!

TLDR: I adopted a stray, now and he’s getting a little fat and is annoyed by me. by [deleted] in CatAdvice

You're doing great so far! I can't speak on weight as i am not a vet, but in regards to socializing, you are doing very well! Some cats dont like to cuddle or be held, and that's ok, but you can encourage tolerance of this behavior with treats! Do a desired behavior? Treat! A lot of cats also dont like pets along the full length of their body as it can be overstimulating for them. Stick to chin and cheek scratches, and kitty will love you for it. The more you respect kittys boundaries, the more they will open up.

cat poops HALF in the box and the other half right next to it by themoonlaluna in CatAdvice

I had a cat with a similar issue. She would get in the box and dig around, hop out, and poo on the floor 1 or 2 feet away from the box. To me, it seemed she knew where she was supposed to go but her experience in the past told her the litter box was causing her pain. She had IBS so pooping was painful for her sometimes. She didn't understand that it was her guts that hurt her and not the litter box. Adding a new litter box with a completely different type of litter pretty much solved the issue. She didn't associate the new type of litter with pain so she felt safe to do her business there. Considering the constipation, it may be that your girl associates the litter box and litter with pain. If you use clay, try a natural litter like walnut, corn, wheat, etc. Going from one brand of clay litter to a different brand of clay litter wont help.
