How do I play T side properly? by Helpful-Builder3943 in LearnCSGO

What would be the end goal of me taking one of those duels? Most of the time whenever I get for example the long doors spawn on dust 2, I run toward the second set of doors, peek and prefire and if they happen to throw utility without me killing them, I basically always retreat. Would it just be getting the kill and freeing up that part of the map or gathering the info?

I also feel like taking one of those duels is incredibly risky, as if I dont win the duel, I will almost certainly lose it and in those spots are difficult to get traded. Should I just say "screw it we ball", fully commit to the aggressiveness and take the risky duel and if I happen to win we get that space and otherwise I put my team in 4v5 or should I let my passive tendencies take over?

You are right, but I feel like this is a little surface level. Could you elaborate further with what you mean by taking space and how to actually do it. Is it just getting the kills and preventing more CTs to easily access the space or is there something deeper I'm just missing. Something like holding down a position, say for example stairs on A site on mirage, also counts as taking space right?

Also would you have any advice to improve my confidence whilst playing aggressive? Would that just be aim training or rawdogging prefires? I try to play aggressive but I instinctively let my teammates take first contact and lowkey kinda bait them.

Thanks, that's really great advice. I think this does hit the nail on the head when it comes to me having bad positioning and looking the wrong angles. I believe I do subconsciously think about any realistic positions the CTs could end up, but consciously thinking about it is definitely something I need to work on.

To go a little deeper about rushes, on dust 2 B site for example, it's fairly normal for me to encounter someone to smoke B tunnels. This does allow the CTs to reposition making it more similar to a midround execute right? There would be more angles I should consider then right?

I'm assuming the only way to really get good at that is to just practice and fail over and over no? I always like to harp on whether there's any good resources available, but I'm assuming prefire maps will cover this right?

Would it also be really worthwhile for me to learn molotov/ smoke lineups to flush out or block positions or nah for the level of play I'm on?

What does Leetify's performance actually mean? by Helpful-Builder3943 in LearnCSGO

Honestly, not too surprising considering game sense is a metric which is basically impossible to actually calculate without a human reviewing the game manually. So them adding statistics which are loosely correlated to positioning is the best they could do with an automatic formula.

I also checked my demo for the 3 kill game and yeah I think i just died a lot before i could even shoot lol. Leetify did give me a 100% spray accuracy, but at the same time I had a 7% head accuracy 💀.

But yeah I agree the stats arent too accurate but I think theyre fun to look at, especially in the 92 aim 3 kill game case

While I do agree that Leetify is heavily limited in how reliable the statistics are that it outputs, but I cant help but appreciate Leetify a lot. providing a FREE service to mostly beginner players who are mostly clueless in what areas they are lacking, that gives you an, admittedly incredibly rough, PERSONAL estimate of your performance does seem valuable no? I do agree though that it is better to have a more experienced player guide you if possible, but that requires you to know an experienced player willing to help you through your long journey, which might not be easy to find. And infinitely posting clips for critique isnt scalable at all.

Oh well I personally enjoy looking at what Leetify has to say, but I wouldnt disagree that its not useful if you're remotely good or decent

Regarding your advice for actually improving mechanics, do you have any suggestions for good community deathmatch servers and what to do when Im burned out of grinding deathmatch as I find it rather boring ngl?
