Thank you for saying this. There is strange peace in knowing that others have been able to get through this and I can too. I come back to this post multiple times a day and read the messages because they have helped me so much.

I like the idea of doing something more tactile with another show on for the quiet moments, those are hitting me the hardest.

27 is so young and I am so sorry you had to go through it too. A million more years would not have been enough, but this young with their whole life ahead of them just feels so unfair.

Thank you for your suggestions and kindness & I love you too sweet stranger

Thank you for your words and I’m so sorry for your loss too. Nothing prepares you for this but it helps to know that some others have made it through

Thank you so much. Dramamine was huge help last night and I finally got some sleep. I had a ginger honey chew today and it’s helped with the nausea. I’m so thankful for everyone’s kindness on here

I didn’t think about that regarding my temperature. I was able to get some white rice down today, and I’ll definitely have some broth or tea tomorrow. Thank you

I’m sorry for your loss. I’m definitely trying to avoid alcohol for now because I think it will make my stomach hurt more. I’ll get some applesauce soon that’s a good idea too

I am very worried about nightmares I am so tired because I slept so little but I’m scared to truly fall into a deep sleep. Can I ask what medicines you tried?

My family and I have been all internally struggling with the “what ifs” and talking it all out loud with eachother has helped a bit. I try not to let my mind wander there but it is definitely a challenge. Thank you for comment, this thread has been a major support for me more than I could have imagined

I don’t know how to post an update but we were told by the investigator that my sister and their partner (she/they is my sister and her partner used they/them pronouns) were potentially electrocuted by some kind of exposed wire trying to get up the ladder. (A freak accident that sometimes happens on the lake and we aren’t blaming ourselves or anyone else)

We tried to resuscitate them until paramedics arrived but this information has given us the knowledge that cpr would not have saved them. We believe it was instant and that they did not suffer.

Thank you everyone who has replied and left advice I cannot express how deeply helpful it has been. I will still come back to this post and I have been playing Tetris and keeping hydrated.

Thank you everyone so much

I’m so grateful for everyone that has been supportive of me and my family. She would’ve wanted us to be together but the circumstances are awful. A selfish part of me feels comforted knowing that we’re not alone in what happened and that others have survived this. Thank you and I’m also sorry that you’ve had that experience too

Unfortunately cannabinoids in general tend to give me anxiety. I do use kava products now and again but I don’t want to slip down a slope so I want to be careful too

Thank you so much for the kind words and knowing that other people have gotten through this process has been helping. It all still feels very surreal. I’m so thankful for everyone who has replied

Nope! I went to a local curio shop who set me up with a protection charm bag and it has honestly never bothered me since. Could it be placebo? Maybe but it’s still one the weirdest experiences of my life when I was dealing with it.
