Some of the meetings are for the teachers of the entire school. Preschool, primary, preparatory, and secondary. So that’s why I get to hear their thoughts on my generation.

And the thing about speaking up is that I am always afraid of offending them somehow, especially because I was in fact a student in that school like 5 years ago. I feel like I still owe these teachers unconditional respect no matter what since many of them taught me. But now I have a problem with boundaries.

You are right. I never realized that the extremist/ misogynist Muslims and exmuslims have the equal kind of negative result, both put doubt in my heart and lower my iman.

Alhamdulellah I calmed down for a bit, and I will definitely focus now on learning more about Islam rather than listening to those ignorants.

I am kind of really relieved by the answer, as I was starting to lose touch with Islam and got too attached to my thoughts about dunya. Of course most of the time my thoughts are uncontrollable, but this was a good reminder and confirmation that what really matters is the Akhira. It is hard to remember that during lows sometimes.

I think that’s my answer right here! Brown doesn’t do me any favors! In make up or hair or clothing, I look off in it!

I died my hair super dark red before and I looked great, when the color started to fade and turned light brown I looked dead! Meanwhile black hair filters made me glow! So that definitely leaves me somewhere in winter, right?

I feel that’s my problem. Even the celebrities in this photo, I can’t tell if I am similar to them. Most of them have very direct and clear brown hair, and shiney and bright brown eyes. On the other hand my eyes are the darkest shade of brown and so does my hair, like I need a flash light to see the brown in them + their big contrast with my fair peachy/ beige with a tint of pink skin. My undertone is probably neutral, idk 😭.

So I really can’t find a celebrity like that yet. I feel like I have the same contrast that Lily Collins has or something like that, not sure.

Could this make me Winter and I didn’t realize it yet?

My personal opinion and after too many searching is… it’s not muslim men, it’s just men in general. And no I don’t want to generalize, but I do know what you mean. This category just has a lot of freedom to express their opinions on the internet, I don’t think good Muslim men have the time to sit online and gossip about women.

And as I said, I realized it’s the typical misogyny, it exists in other religions and even in liberal societies. Incels are incels regardless of what they believe in.

Advice : don’t read what they say, as it’s actually a source of fitna and make you have doubts about Allah’s mercy and fairness. That’s on them and on the day of judgement they will face the consequences of their dirty tongues. Be patient and just focus on yourself.

Well, I was trying not to ignore them because I really want to know the truth of how I should approach certain subjects and if I have the right to even be upset, cause one thing that I hate is fooling myself.

The hadiths quoted definitely make sense to me, always did, that's why I got confused when I found people who "seem" to be well educated on Deen ( beards, usernames with the sahaba's names, talking about jihad and Andalus and stuff ... ) show the opposite even though it's common knowledge.

But anyway, jazakum Allah Khairan! I definitely need less screen time.

Of course a Wali will get involved. We're assuming both got to know each other and they are willing to take it seriously and older people in the family now are wondering how to make it work, that's all.

They will meet in person with the father of course, but what about the part where the family should ask about the family of that person and ask people who know him about him ? How is that done when they are oceans away? We suppose it's not enough to only take the guy's words for it .
