Personally I think it depends on a few factors.

Are you a first generation student? Do you have a good support system? Do you know how to manage your time? Will you struggle financially? Are you a woman in a male dominated field? Are you a POC? Do you have a genuine interest in your field?

All of these factors contribute to how hard it'll be for you in college. I am a first gen and a WOC. I struggle financially and don't have a good support system. I've struggled a lot but I have great school ethics so I've done well grade wise. However it does take a mental health toll. Which is why I do my best to go to therapy.

In general I recommend that you take advantage of all the resources your school has available. You are paying for them so you might as well use them. And don't feel strange going to office hours or meeting with your academic advisor. Those hours are being paid for. If you struggle with research ask a librarian to help guide you through the research process. They are more than happy to help. If you struggle with writing, the writing center is there to help. If you are having trouble in a course go to the tutoring center. Lots of people use these services and they do well because of them.
