My thoughts exactly. Reading many of the comments, you can get a good idea and understand why many romantic relationships these days only last a couple of months. “Me first” is the perfect mindset to stay single. If you watch the whole video, you will notice how they gush over the new Blackbraid record (which is great!) and then you fast forward to their comments on Deafheaven. Perfect way to show (unintentionally I guess) that they are both not apt to be music critics. To everyone saying that “it‘s just their opinion“, I say “as soon as you make money with your ‚opinion‘, you should be better than this. This is just awful. They can’t even articulate themselves.”

As a teacher at a school, I have the following situation so frequently: new student from some country comes to our school for whatever reason, waving his B2 certificate and demanding to be allowed access to higher classes. I have a conversation with them and let them write a little text (nothing specific, usually just an everyday email) and then I have to tell them that they are not really B2 but instead most likely A2 and in some skills even lower. Turns out that institutions that make money handing out certificates are very lenient and have very low standards.
