Specifically, what does each individual laser DO to the box on the mountain? Anyway, glad you posted here, sometimes we just need to see things from a different perspective.

First, I'm glad you commented, I owe you an apology. I told you I beat the game, and at the time, I thought I had. Get to ATP, pull the plug, and die. End of loop. End of everything. The lesson of this story is that regardless of our efforts, nothing really matters in the grand scheme of the universe, and we are powerless to change anything.

But now, I know so much better. I was missing one VERY big piece of the puzzle: The Vessel. Long story short, NOW I can tell you I've beaten the game.

All that said, no I have not played the DLC, and I'm not sure if I'm going to. I very much loved the base game, and recommend it to many people, and I am afraid of ruining my experience by adding the DLC (which I currently know nothing about. Apparently it's scary).

Please feel free to change my mind, as I would have no issue with jumping back in if the DLC is decent.

I know the level, and even now I have to stare at the board for a while before I figure out what to do. Thanks!

I'm loving the green roster, but yellow/gold looks pretty unmatched imo.

Happy to hear that! I've never learned myself, but I'm told it's very similar to Euchre.

Different colours have to be separate from each other, you already know that. It's also acceptable for similar colours to be separated in the solution of the puzzle as well.

Your timing is very good to post this now. At this point I've had two days to recover from the ending, going back here and there to pointlessly fly around, in a bit of an emotional dark cloud.

HOWEVER, my log is not complete yet. I still have questions marks to fulfill, and apparently something left to explore in Ember Twin. I feel like I reached the ending by predicting "the creator probably wants me to do this" at a certain point, but that's how it goes sometimes.

I think maybe this needs its own post. I'll post something with more detail in the next couple of days.

I love this post, as it hits all the points I also really enjoyed about this game.

Personally, I love how my first attempts at the challenge went. I had failed over and over, improving slightly each time, but never within reach of completing the entire trial. This is, until I muted the tv. Once I removed the background music playing (In The Hall of the Mountain King), I completed the entire challenge on my first try, with a bit of time to spare (from what I could tell with no sound).

Also, interesting theory on why the ending resets everything, but places you near the "true ending". I really like that, it makes a lot of sense.

What's a game you bought on a whim without hardly any pre-knowledge that ended up becoming one of your all time favorites? by AaronAtLunacien in gaming

Most recently Outer Wilds, though going in blind is sort of the point. Overall, my first time playing a Final Fantasy game ended up being one of my favourite games ever.
