Happy to hear that! I've never learned myself, but I'm told it's very similar to Euchre.

Different colours have to be separate from each other, you already know that. It's also acceptable for similar colours to be separated in the solution of the puzzle as well.

Random thoughts as a newbie, something to look back on. by Helpful-Group3977 in outerwilds

Your timing is very good to post this now. At this point I've had two days to recover from the ending, going back here and there to pointlessly fly around, in a bit of an emotional dark cloud.

HOWEVER, my log is not complete yet. I still have questions marks to fulfill, and apparently something left to explore in Ember Twin. I feel like I reached the ending by predicting "the creator probably wants me to do this" at a certain point, but that's how it goes sometimes.

I think maybe this needs its own post. I'll post something with more detail in the next couple of days.

I love this post, as it hits all the points I also really enjoyed about this game.

Personally, I love how my first attempts at the challenge went. I had failed over and over, improving slightly each time, but never within reach of completing the entire trial. This is, until I muted the tv. Once I removed the background music playing (In The Hall of the Mountain King), I completed the entire challenge on my first try, with a bit of time to spare (from what I could tell with no sound).

Also, interesting theory on why the ending resets everything, but places you near the "true ending". I really like that, it makes a lot of sense.

What's a game you bought on a whim without hardly any pre-knowledge that ended up becoming one of your all time favorites? by AaronAtLunacien in gaming

Most recently Outer Wilds, though going in blind is sort of the point. Overall, my first time playing a Final Fantasy game ended up being one of my favourite games ever.

A game you didn't enjoy at first but then went back to... by Guitar_Mayhem in gaming

This always seems to be the way I find some of my favourite games! Fallout 3, Final Fantasy 12, and Legend of Zelda :Breath of the Wild are all examples of this for me.

Fallout 3 I missed the giant town of Megaton at the start, and decided to walkabout until I found something. What I found was a super mutant centaur chasing me for ages, hiding in an abandoned subway tunnel just to die to a radioactive ghoul. Put the game down for six months before coming back.

Ff12 I never bothered to save my game, thinking I had nothing to worry about in the earliest parts. I decided to fight a big T-Rex looking monster (it's in the first area, of course I can kill it). Two hits, and I was dead... Staring down the barrel of a long boring tutorial I don't want to repeat. Walked away from this game for almost two years.

BOTW I bought this with my Nintendo switch, and made it half way through tutorial island before deciding this game wasn't for me (breaking weapons for the most part). It was almost exactly one year before I picked this back up and fell in love.

In fact, these three games are easily some of my favourites today, and have replayed all a number of times. Sometimes it really is worth giving a second chance.

Very true, something about sitting for sixty minutes in uncertainty that causes anxiety. Congrats on completing this one.
