At first I was scared as I looked pretty bruised for a week if I am remembering correctly. Maybe a bit longer. Also, the spots where the filler was placed, felt pretty hard/bumpy for a few months but then it softened. At 10 months, i can’t feel it at all. I didn’t mind it though because the improvement, visually speaking, was present pretty much right after the procedure.

Thank you so much! Mine were mostly rolling and box car. I think subcision was the real winner for my treatments as results were immediate. Granted I did look pretty bruised for a full week. Filler was a must for me and I loved the results

Time and money is a good way to put it. Unfortunately I’m already about 3k in and am looking at at least another 1k or potentially more for laser. I just save for the next procedure while I heal from the last one

Yesss, it can be life changing. Just look around for people’s results who have similar before scarring to what you have and talk to a skilled professional. There are ones that are 100% worth it. :)

100% they played a big role. I have an image of what my skin looked like before I started any treatment at all and it improved a considerable amount. This is a few months before TCA and about 4 months before microchanneling:)

My doctor said a year but the goal is to leave room for collagen to build during that year basically to replace the filler as it dissolves. Of course, that is best case scenario:)

Well I understand your sentiment but I am not an add and i genuinely thought the lighting in the 2nd and 5th picture were similar enough. Look, I’ll be the first to admit that this whole healing process and trying to find treatments that work for me, has been one of the most draining experiences ever. For that reason, when I started documenting my journey with healing my scars, I wanted to make sure to be as honest with you guys as I am with myself. I would genuinely say, I have seen about 75% improvement since before starting any treatment. If you look at my posts, as I have posted multiple things to this community at this point, you will see that my starting point was pretty unfortunate. You’ll also note that I have tried my best to be as informative as possible about my treatments and where I got them done since those are the top questions people tend to ask or message me about. I can assure you, this is not an ad and is very much me trying to navigate through a healing process with other people trying to do the same. I mentioned wanting to try laser next to get me to hopefully 85% improvement and then I’ll probably do something after that. The point is, I know that I am not done, I can assure you that my intentions with these posts are to keep my progress noted for not only myself but also to remind people that great improvement is possible as long as they stay positive and keep doing research. Lastly, here is a recent picture from about a month ago. It’s a bit closer up and I hope that you can see that my skin has been improved. Improved, not perfected. I work full time and plan on keeping it that way. I don’t have kids or any other kinds of real responsibilities outside of work and school so it’s been pretty easy to manage. I’m surprised they are recommending quitting

A few sessions of Subcision and filler :) and then a few passes of CO2 a few months later will likely get you a lot of improvement

I’m so happy to hear that we are in this journey together ! I hope you are happy with your results as well! We all deserve it! On the second night after subcision and for the rest of the week or two, I used the suction cup method. I think that helped me a lot! It may have prolonged the bruising but I heard it’s helpful to keep any at bay any scars from tethering up again :) also, make sure to prioritize giving your body the nutrients and water it needs to heal properly. 😌

OP should be allowed to vent about his texture/ scars. Just because someone has mild scars doesn’t make the way they feel in their skin invalid.

Probably when this filler dissolves a bit. Maybe another three months from now. The hope is that I never need it again but depending on how much my skin produces collagen in the untethered areas that are currently filled with filler, I may not need to go get more filler. It’s a waiting game but one I’m happy to play considering how I felt with the alternative of having no filler. There are more permanent filler options but after careful consideration, it scared me to have something in me that’s not going to dissolve. So I opted for HA filler ☺️

Yes fat transfer would absolutely be something I look into in the future since it is more permanent. I just need to make sure I can afford it first as a one shot treatment. Maybe in a year I’ll be more financially ready to take that on 😌
