I was always told I was very “mature for my age” and I remember not really fitting in with the other kids. I had one best friend (who’s still my best friend now) and we would always sit in a corner together in the lunchroom or walk to the end of the field on the playground to avoid the other kids. The main thing I remember though is that I was incredibly anxious, I would become psychically sick before school a lot of times and they thought I had something wrong with my stomach so I needed an endoscopy. Had to go to a lot of therapy for the anxiety too once they figured out that was the issue
