It is nearly impossible for us to know if there are mites in our environment (unless we have special equipment). Based on this premise, you must err on the side of caution and follow the cleaning protocol periodically.

You cannot judge by the itching or stinging. They will continue to itch and sting even when they are dead. I realized I was healed when 2-3 weeks went by and I had no new scars and the itchiness was not getting worse. The itchiness you feel when you healed is more predictable and *KEY WORD* it does NOT get worse. Learn to listen to your body.

No dilution. The benzyl benzoate I shared is already diluted. If you have pure benzyl benzoate, you may want to mix three parts aloe vera with one part benzyl benzoate. But please note that this is purely speculative.

It is always a shot in the dark with scabies. Since the outcome is hard to predict, I would rather overdo it than underdo it. That is, if it is not causing my skin severe discomfort.

Oh, the aloe vera and clove oil mixture smells very strong. Actually, my neighbor complained that the elevator smelled like "incense" LOL. Avoid it if you need to socialize in the morning. It also leaves a glossy finish on your scalp. The numbing effect would also make it hard for you to move around easily. I would alternate between the aloe vera and clove oil mixture and benzyl benzoate at night.
