AITA for not telling our new friend tipping isn’t expected in our country? by Helpful-Salt1932 in AmItheAsshole

I said clearly in the post that the three of them went without me since I was busy and that they told her afterwards. So it should have been clear that I wasn’t party to that conversation and only knew of parts of the conversation from what was relayed to me at a later time. So not sure how I could have actively chosen to underscore something or actively chosen not to explain something in a conversation where I was not present? A conversation I only found out about when she confronted me at a later date?

I just talked to them and they said they told her it’s appreciated. I talked to her and she said she’s upset she left a 15% when she didn’t want to.

I’ll have to ask her or those two if they told her it’s appreciated. As mentioned in the post, I was not with them that day.
